I may be new to the Warpath, but I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Anyway.

I would love if Colt became an awesome QB for us and beat Grossman out. I would also love if Grossman somehow became an amazing QB for us. Heck, if McNabb can improve and play another 15 years I'd be happy.

Ain't none of it going to happen.

I'm still trying to figure out how we signed Grossman and I just realized it when we signed McNabb. The only thing I can figure is I saw the thread and figured it was another "What If" thread and just ignored it.

I heard that Colt doesn't really care if he's #2, #3, or the back up punter. Apparently he's a nihilist.

I'm just amazed at how some folks on hear seem so vehemently against CB15, almost to the point of anger. Like he smashed off their girlfriends or something. Hating is a weakness.

BTW- I would love for the guy to be the heir apparent to McNabb. Although not probable...it is possible.

Daryl Clark is a marginal threat to beat out Pineapple Jesus. Colt will be suiting up for us next year.

We just got through 5 years of wondering weather or not a 1st round pick would produce. God knows how well an undrafted free agent would go over. Ironically though I like Clark. He has the numbers, size, and other attributes I like in a QB.

Clark is intriguing. I watched some State games the last couple of years and thought that he might be able to play on Sundays. Then again, he could be State's version on Brad Banks from Iowa (although with better size).

Clark is decent, but if JC can't hack it Clark won't. THe complete body of work isn't so hot for Darryl in 2009. Joe Elliot from Purdue was a much better QB, and he wasn't even signed after the draft!!!!! Colt is safe I think for as long as Shanny wants him. Grossman will be gone after this season and Shanny drafts a QB to take over for Donovan. That is what I think the case will be.

Re: Pinneapple Jesus vs. the new qb's brought in

Colt Brennan was a decent sixth round pickup with some upside who was offered every opportunity to win the no. 2 job last year for Zorn. He didn't come through, then he ended up on IR, and now he's entering the prime years of his career as a third stringer.

I don't think we're going to keep 3 QBs this year, although if we do, Colt's the odds on favorite to hold the job. He's not going to ascend the depth chart and his chances of ever throwing an NFL pass are basically nil beyond this season.

He was a gamble. They took a shot at a guy who has NCAA passing records, but didn't play the best opposition in getting those ungodly stats. They took a shot, and it hasn't worked out thus far. I think we will keep 3 Qbs. Donovan can get hurt, then Grossman does his thing. Brennan is the emergency QB if the shit hit the fan. Shanny drafts a QB in 2011 and will be under Donovan to groom him to take over. Like I keep saying, if Chase Daniel was a few inches taller Brennan wouldn't be here.

Aside from Tom Brady, there are only a handful of 6th round qb picks that I think even became starters. I don't think it's accurate to say that Colt "hasn't worked out thus far." He made the team his rookie year. Last year, they IR'd him. He wasn't expected to take Collins' spot as the #2 his rookie year. Last year Zorn wasn't impressed w/him, but Zorn is gone. If he makes the cut this year I think that's meeting expectations for a 6th round pick.
