This & other wr signings does pose an issue w/that unit; who plays spec. teams? Hate to say it, but Marko might not have a job if he can't do something on teams. I wouldn't think they'd continue to use DT on teams a lot if he's starting, but they might.
I recall that Shanny signed Jerry Rice when he was 40 or so. I remember some saying that Rice would be the #4, which usually has to play teams. I don't remember anything about Rice in Denver after that, but this signing reminded me of it. |

I dont see Galloway providing serious competition for any of the top 3 guys on our current depth chart and i can't see the team keeping a guy that old on the 53man roster as a 4th or 5th WR. wade could make a push, but i dont see us keeping both him and moss. Shanahan prefers tall athletic WRs so i doubt we'd keep both Moss and Wade. Then again, i don't really know anything, but Smoots speculation that one of our WRs (probably Kelly) may be hurt makes the most sense to me.

i think they're just trying to bring in bodies at the WR position. Most of them will be weeded out at the end of camp
