Great questions everyone. I'll do the best I can to cover as many as possible. I'm sure I'll have some help from other folks going as well. Keep 'em coming.

There was a quick story the other day that stated we needed to cut 2 guys before camp. This was about a week ago. Did they get the roster down to size ( had to lose 2 guys because we were at 82 players ) or was that a piece of miss-information out there?

We are at 80, but for Carlos and TW to sign 2 must go. One, I would think, probably is Mike Williams, in some injury related move. Don't know who else will go. Maybe a DL guy since AH may be resolved...

Whats happening with the RB competition? I've heard Larry Johnson might supplant Portis as the starter........

Not going to happen. Portis will be better than he has been in the past few seasons, ready to go and motivated. LJ will take plenty of carries but that will only help keep CP fresh.

If we get Westbrook, I could see he and CP lining up in the backfield, with BW going out for a screen...or even Westbrook lining up as a WR. Minimal carries.

Thanks for the quick hits SS33. If that O-Line can stay healthy and play well for 16 games, that would be a nice change of pace. Any weak links on either unit?

It's hard for me to see both Heyer and Edwin Williams making it. That would almost certainly mean that one of the 7th rounders doesn't make it, getting pushed to the practice squad.

It's still frustrating that Rinehart doesn't get reps with the first team, but the coaching staff really likes Artis Hicks (and Mike Williams before him) for reasons unclear to me.

It's hard to imagine keeping 8 defensive lineman, and with Jarmon basically guaranteed a spot as a fifth defensive end, we're either not going to keep a backup nose tackle, or there's going to be a surprise cut on the DL. I suppose we could go with 8 DL and 8 LBs (this would make sense if Horton pulled double duty at SS/ILB), but then we're down a special teamer.

Oh yeah, thanks Sammy for the update. A lot of good information there that's tough to get on Twitter feeds alone. Not really sure what Daniels is referencing with the "3-7" defense, other than that's Reed Doughty's number.

Daniels was referring to the attacking style of the D, similar to the Buddy Ryan 4-6. A lot of guys at the LoS, O can't tell who/whats coming.

Thanks so much for the info, Sammy33. The 3-7 sounds intriguing.
