Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.

Ok, here's my take...

Again I had us going 5-3 when we hit the bye week.
Wins:
Dallas
Rams
Eagles
Bears
Lions
Losses:
Houston
Packers
Colts

That was my take on my 9-7 record. We lost to the Rams which we should not have and won against the Packers which I didn't count on. So now we are back on track.

Colts: I don't think they are as good as yrs past. I think we can take them but it will be another hard faught game where we need to be hitting people. McNabb needs to get the players the ball and stop with the dirt balls as much as possible.

Bears: I felt would be an easy win but they are looking tougher then I thought. This will be another hard faught game.

Lions: I think we can take them.

I hope we are 5-3 by the break and 6-2 would be awsome but I'd settle for 4-4 as well since all we did was win 4 games last yr anything more then 4 games is an improvement.

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.

Ace dont mind the haters....I think we could be catching the next couple teams just at the right time.

1. Colts- that team is injury riddled and doesnt have their sh*t together yet so far this season. Better to get them now, on our field rather than down the road.

2. Chicago- Depending on the status of Cutler, it could be he first game back so he could be rusty. I think this is going to be one hellava ugly game. Rather play them now than in Soldier field late November, December.

3. Lions- Probably our toughest game of the 3 leading up to the bye. Away and with the Lions getting an extra week to prepare for us. The game after us will be the Jets coming into their building...will they be looking past us? Dont think so.

First, it's Monday, after a BIG win, leave this type of speculative thread for later, maybe Tuesday, or Wednesday.

Second, as you say about Chicago's game - it depends on Cutler's status, and who knows what the Lion's game depends on.

Yes we all want to be 6-2 at the bye, but it's just a bit of a stretch to start this type thread at this time on this board. ES loves these tho'

I totally agree but this thread is a good topic about the next 3 games and how people feel about them.

I'd have more issue's with other threads before I'd have issues with this one.

Yeah like fire Haslett Now thread posted like 3 mins after the St. Louis game...? seriously

This thread topic was not just to look ahead but first look back, recognize where we are and where we could possibly going into our second half of the season after we have had a chance to regroup during the bye. Its easily a valid thread.

To say this is a look ahead to next game, well not really like the "Its effing whatever week" thread. Read the opening post.

To the "enjoy our win for a day" before looking ahead. I think enjoying the win is what Ace is doing, being optomistic, looking at our position and the position of the upcoming opponents saying hey we could come out in a strong position looking at this and that...
or should I enjoy the win by building an arguement why Haslett should be fired, why our FO sux because we let Lloyd go or why Devin Thomas is a bust?

Hey in my defense I wasn't advocating for Haslett to be fired, I was simply advocating doing things to ease the transition, like going to a 4-3 look at times (which we have since done). I only put Fire Haslett in the thread title because I'm sure there were people on the board that felt that way. I started that thread as a way to vent over how bad we played on defense against a crappy Rams team.

I have a good feeling about the Colts game, slightly worried that Forte will run all over us and hope we exact serious revenge on the Lions

Colts can definitely be had. And really it's not about keep Peyton Manning from tossing the ball for three or four hundred yards, let's just keep them out of the end zone like we've been doing. But they definitely have some holes in the secondary with Bullit and Sanders (cut) gone for the year.

I think Detroit is the toughest game of the three game schedule before the bye. In ANY other year, it would be Indianapolis -- meaning that with all prior versions of the Colts, their talent would vastly overshadow the homefield advantage difference. This year, they are banged up on both sides of the ball and Manning has limited places he can go with the ball. Not much different from us right now, and we're playing at home for a second week in a row.

The Bears are the worst of the three teams, and I think we can take them in Chicago.

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.

Personally, having squeaked in a win doesn't necessarily makes us dominant enough to predict any winning streak. The way that the NFL is going right now, it is very hard to make any predictions period, teams that were dominant one week sucked the next, and teams that sucked one win, manage a big win the next (see AZ and Oakland).

And once again, as someone said staring a thread just to start a thread is just stupid.

Dallas is STILL being overrated.

If they're 1-7, they'll still be in the mid-twenties.

I cant agree with this temporal high ranking.
Look at this list...6th best in the league? Are you kidding?
Our RBs cant rush for 100 yards.
That would mean we are a playoff lock..ridiculous.
We should be in the 15 zone...maybe 12...we are average at best at this point....its like they think we spanked some legit team or something...yeah we barely beat a playoff contender...so put us at 10 if you must
Think of it this way...top 12 are playoff teams. Is the current Redskins team playing at a playoff level....nope...gettting there...but not yet, and until they can run and pass and play defense and special teams well all in one game...the Skins will continue to be a work in progress....albeit a good one.
