Re: Where was Keiland Williams???
Okay, so Keiland had 3 carries and Davis had 6.
That's what has everybody upset tonight? Tell me, honestly -- would the outcome have been any different if those numbers had been reversed? |

The point is Davis showed nothing where Williams showed he has something to build on going into todays game. With that said, At least we got a look at Davis today. I was more displeased with our inability to dump it over the anticipated blitz. |

Re: Where was Keiland Williams???
This is Kyle's offense, I doubt Mike has any game day input or scripts plays.

Re: Where was Keiland Williams???
Just about everybody scripts their first 10 to 15 plays of the game. Probably not Mike per se, but I would imagine Kyle definitely scripts plays.

Re: Where was Keiland Williams???
Yes Kyle does script the opening plays, I just don't think Mike has anything to do with it.

Re: Where was Keiland Williams???
I don't believe Mike has anything to do with scripting the plays, but I'm sure he has some input into game plan strategy of the offense to a certain degree, albeit probably not very much input.

Re: Where was Keiland Williams???
This coaching staff shows the propensity to quickly abandon the running game when it's not as productive as it possibly could be early in games. Abandoning the run, then running play-action fakes is what's confounding to me. No defense is going to honor the fake when you've shown an inability to run successfully.
With the o/l being the mixed bag it has become, it's very difficult at this time to get any consistency going in either phase of the game. Last week o/l gets a game ball, this week further demonstrated the up and down nature of this team.

You know it's bad when we're asking about a 3rd string RB.

Re: Where was Keiland Williams???
I don't know if as a whole the Redskins were out coached yesterday. Now where I question the coaches and have consistently questioned the coaches is:
One, continuing to play Casey Rabach. Two, misusing/underutilizing Haynesworth. The fact is that at this point in the season, Minnesota is more talented than us and Favre did not give us any turnovers. We made more mistakes than them and we just aren't good enough to overcome that. As far as the running game, I don't think we are ever going to be able to run consistently if Rabach is hiking the ball. |

Re: Where was Keiland Williams???
You have to run the ball with the RBs more then 9 times.
We have no idea how the running game would have panned out if we actually tried to run the ball. We're an outside zone/outside edge running team (and the Vikings run weakness is on the edge w/ their Jared Allen and a back-up! LDE) yet we ran inside w/ our least experienced RB: James Davis when Keiland Williams was perfectly healthy. But it either way 6 carries for James Davis and 3 carries for Keiland Williams is not enough to establish a running game. |

Keiland Williams is not a starting runningback in the NFL (he didn't even start in college). We do not have the personel on the line or in the backfield to have a legitimate running attack. We certainly don't have the players to run on Minnesota. |
