Playcalling - Helu had 23 carries but it felt like he should've had at least 10 more. Really Kyle?

Pass rush - where was our's today?

D-Hall - you've gotta make that INT, we needed a playmaker to step up in that spot.

Gano - big props for going 4/4 on FGs... but that short kickoff was horrible and a pivotal play. Can't have that crap.

And finally the smack down of the day to Trent Williams and Fred Davis. Some of these guys still have a lot of growing up to do.

Who gets your smack down?
D Hall - The worst part about that dropped interception is that he celebrated for about 30 seconds as if he had just made the play of the year. Awful...

Yeah, but there's just four games left of the guy. We can take it.

Re: Smackin' it down

Pass rush/run D was terrible. We didn't bring pressure on Sanchez at all. And Shonn Greene hasn't done anything all year, and he pops us for 3 scores? Come on, man!

I'm so done with so many guys on this team. Rex Grossman, Brandon Banks, D'Angelo Hall in particular.

Josh Wilson has had some good games this year but the Jets game was not one of them.

I don't know if I can "smack" the playcalling. Sure, hindsight sais we could have run it a few more times, but our run game was starting to get clogged up in there. I can't fault him for trying to get things opened up a little.

Re: Smackin' it down

Rex-but I don't feel good about giving him a smackdown. That's like giving a smackdown to a goat for eating grass. That's what he does. He looks like an average QB sometimes and looks like a drunk toddler. I don't even get mad at him anymore when he does dumb stuff because that's just who he is.

Jammal Brown-While he did a better job in the run game, he is a major liability vs. speed rushers. I hope we give this position at least a look in the offseason.

4th quarter defense-All of them. Can't point out just a couple of players, they all failed.

Kyle-Dude, I've been a staunch supporter of you and really think you've got something for us once the pieces are in place. BUT-your insistence to keep throwing and throwing and throwing in some spurts is maddening. 46 attempts for Rex Grossman?!?! In a game we had a 3 point lead entering the 4th quarter? Whew. Get your life together son, that's ridiculous.

Re: Smackin' it down

It's the same old things with this team. Gano..WTF dude? You kick 4 fg's and chunk a kick off? Gotta get rid of this guy. He's just not a clutch kicker. Kyle...it seems that he just has no feel for the game. When we need to run he passes and vice versa. Time to get a new playcaller next year. Secondary...you guys are simply not a good coverage unit. Can anyone back there man cover? Nope. And why is Hall playing off Plax? Plax probably runs a 5.0 40. No need to give him a 10 yard custion you idiot. So awful. Trent and Fred...you guys are simply not winners. This is your 3rd offense! Not only are both of you stupid, but you let down your team. Both should have to earn starting spots next year. We simply can't win with guys like this.

Re: Smackin' it down

Not sure how I missed Gano. I've seen enough of him also. Plenty of people pooh pooh kickers but we can't continue to ignore players who are counted on to put points on the board and establish field position with basic tasks like NOT kicking the ground before the ball. Clown.

Re: Smackin' it down

And like people have already stated- Kyle Shanahan. I just don't think he's a good coordinator. His play design is really solid- guys are open all the time, we just don't have a QB. But his playcalling is terrible. 46 passing attempts with Rex freaking Grossman? Throwing that much in the 4th qtr when only down one score? Pffffft....

Re: Smackin' it down

The Packer had basically the same pass to run ratio as we did yesterday...so really, all we need is Aaron Rodgers

Seriously though, I don't know what the reasoning was for going such large spurts without running. The red zone offense after the fumble was terrible. Plenty of time and time outs and we wasted it. But that's also on Mike. Because while Kyle handles the red zone offense, Mike manages the time outs. They have to be working in sync there'

By the way, did anyone see this article? Great read

Yeah, the mismanagement of the time outs was really troubling. Calling them on offense when we're down a few scores and needed them for defense... Yikes. How do you not have a 2 minute offensive game plan ready to execute- one which doesn't need multiple timeouts to get your ducks in a row? With the way the Jets ran the ball, you know they're going to try to bleed the clock. You have to save those timeouts for the defensive side of the ball. Really disturbing.

Indeed, Aaron Rodgers would make Bozo the Clown look good as an offensive coordinator...
