I'd be fine with that, because you know if Luck or Griffin was here they'd be starting from day one.

I don't know about this Orton thing. The Post BOG sounded more comedic than serious. Neverhteless, I have two or three posts that say repeatedly the Redskins need two QBs. We need a FA and we need to draft a QB. I'm no insider like some of you guys, but I really believe that is what will happen (a FA signing and drafting a rookie QB). Several of you have posted comments similar to mine, and the media information seems to suggest that something like that will happen.

Having said that, the combinations of FA and draftee QBs are too numerous to rehash here. But if Redskins decide to sign Orton and play him six-eight games while the rookie learns, I'm totally OK with that. This speculation is fun and causes me to read the paperrs more, but I am really ready for some stone-cold hard facts to emerge!

Guess we could bring back Gus Frerotte, or even better, we could bring Sonny down from the booth!

Love it...but with Luck I wouldn't even care who the bridge QB is because I would hope he would start from day 1.

Re: Mike Lombardi Links Kyle Orton to the Redskins

The chatter at senior bowl huh?

Signing Orton doesn't make much sense as people have pointed out for various reasons

my reason is that signing a Kyle Orton, FA QB, that was available twice last year (offseason/then waiver wire) would be akin to admitting they made yet another mistake at the QB and that they essentially wasted a year with Rex Grossman for no good reason

Luck is definitely starting right away, but you need a veteran backup.
