I do.

First of all, he got beat like a drum by decent receivers.

Secondly, after blowing a lot of hot air our way about Sean Taylor, he signed with Philly for $1.98 more money. That seems a bit phoney to me.

Chase Minnefield can make this team. The competition at Corner and both Safety positions is gonna be fun to watch.

Eh not really. I mean it's more then likely that CB and S are going to stink this year and we'll be lucky if they're average which is fine with me. I'm more worried about the front 7 on both sides of the ball and QB play. Plenty of teams have done well with weak secondaries. The Steelers and Giants come to mind.

Still if this Minnefield kid heals he will be a steal. Still don't get why they didn't draft him over the two camp fodder db's they got in round 7.

what's the harm in not drafting him if he ended up being undrafted? lol

or did you want a diff target?

Well I mean he's clearly more promising then the other 2 guys we drafted in round 7. Just makes no sense to me to risk not getting him as an UDFA.

Re: UDFA Thread

So I take it micro fracture surgery is pretty serious considering Minniefield went from 1-2 round prospect to undrafted? What's the deal with micro fracture surgery? Part of the body? Recovery time? Dirt, help me out so I can relax, I know you're a doctor.

While I am not an M.D., I do know that sometimes you heal completely from microfracture surgery but often you don't heal enough to play again. For many people, it is a career ender. So we'll have to see how Minnifield shakes out. If he is a healing type, we got a steal.
