If we don't use his legs, we would have been better off drafting Tannehill. We brought him in to run and win. The two cannot be separated, at least until he develops into a pure pocket passer. He can do it, but we'd be wasting his abilities and talent.

Besides, I don't think we could stop him from running if we wanted to. ROBERT is too competitive to sit back in the pocket and ignore opportunities to make plays for his team.
That might not have been a bad idea, drafting him and keeping those picks. But that's another story/thread. I agree...right now, he needs to have designed runs and worry about him trying to be Peyton during the offseason. This offense needs to run the ball simply because that's what we do best. If we get 60 plays I would like to see 40 of them runs. Bears do not have a good run defense.

I dont think anyones forgetting he didnt get hurt on a designed run,but he still got hurt running with the ball so whats the difference?

You want to talk about forgetting things, everyone screaming for him to run seems to be forgetting he's wearing a knee brace because he's had 2 major surgeries on the same knee in 4 years

If the opportunity is there to take off and run and get a big play thats fine.I think what some of us are trying to say is we dont want him running because his 1 receiver he's locked on too is covered and he takes off instead of progressing thru his reads.I'm afraid he's going to turn out like Vince Young instead of Steve Young

Maybe he's not progressing thru his reads because the offensive line is not giving him enough time,I dont know.I guess only him and his coaches know for sure

Re: Skins vs DA BEARS pre game thread

My heart says we turn them over 3+ times and win a close one because of the defense. Offense still can't move the ball, 17-14 type game with a defensive TD.

...but my head says Cutler, Marshall & Bennett kick our arse up and down the field and beat us 31-10.

Bears 23

Redskins 21

Hall picks off cutler again. Trestmans balanced offense is what hurts us and keeps us guessing as opposed to attacking.

Anyway skins actually open as a favorite this week (0.5) but still.

Any chance we pull off the W at home?
I had a light of hope before last week, but I'm about as done with this team as I ever have been. I don't think I posted anything this week, and barely have come to the warpath. It's a shame that whatever the issues are with this team they led to a waste of a rising year. At least St Louis is happy...

Man, that's depressing to think about it.

Reminds me of this:

Replace Mets with Redskins and that's how this season is starting to go.
Lol. No - im a Skins fan, i think were going to win everygame when we come out of the tunnel. It just seems like the pattern has been -
1) start slow
2) get down big
3) make a come back
4) blow it
So i have to suffer through two waves of depression. 2 and 4.
