W Week 1 Sun. Sep. 7 @ Houston Texans
W Week 2 Sun. Sep. 14 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
L Week 3 Sun. Sep. 21 @ Philadelphia Eagles
W Week 4 Thu. Sep. 25 vs. New York Giants 8:25 PM
W Week 5 Mon Oct. 6 vs. Seattle Seahawks 8:30 PM
L Week 6 Sun. Oct. 12 @ Arizona Cardinals
W Week 7 Sun. Oct. 19 vs. Tennessee Titans
L Week 8 Mon Oct. 27 @ Dallas Cowboys 8:30 PM
W Week 9 Sun. Nov. 2 @ Minnesota Vikings
Week 10Bye Week
W Week 11 Sun Nov. 16 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
L Week 12 Sun Nov. 23 @ San Francisco 49ers
W Week 13 Sun Nov. 30 @ Indianapolis Colts
L Week 14 Sun Dec. 7 vs. St. Louis Rams
L Week 15 Sun Dec. 14 @ New York Giants
W Week 16 Sat. Dec. 20 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
W Week 17 Sun. Dec. 28 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Put me on record at 10-6 and clinching the 3rd seed with a week 16 victory over the Iggles.
If RG3 takes off, special teams improves and the defense gets more sacks and turnovers, I see 10 wins. But being a realist, all three won't happen. I say 7-8 wins. Hopefully we can start fast, got to get those first two games. Who the hell is playing QB for the Texans anyway???

Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread

I picked 5-8 wins.

I'm hoping to be wrong, but the question marks I have.....
1) Defense - secondary, LB, pass rush
2) RG3 - he's gotta be better than last year and the gimmicks from year 1 won't work any
more- hoping he progresses in reading defenses this year
3) 1st year as head coach in NFL -I expect some mishaps
(when to go for it on 4th down, when to challenge, etc.)
just because things look differently when every decision falls on you

I'm confident that ST will be much improved, but the bar wasn't set very high last year.
I also think this team will be stronger in the 4Q than in past years.

To go on record, I'll go with 8-8.

Hail!

If we lose to Houston in week one with Ryan Fitzpatrick I might just break something.

EARTHQUAKE breaking something isn't as worrisome as Watt, Clowney, Mercilus, or Cushing breaking something...

Anyway, Fitzpatrick is a solid vet with some good receivers to throw to now. And if Foster's healthy, he'll have a top-5ish back helping him out. I think the Texans will be a solid team.

Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread

Lol cant believe a true skins fan would "predict" a losing season for us. Its a better roster than the last time we were a 10 win team. And why we all think were positively going to lose to the eagles week 3 is absurd that team has some flaws imo.

I wouldn't expect any major changes regarding the running game. Gruden has said they are leaving much of the zone schemes in place. That's why Foerster is still here.

Re: Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction thread

We'll win the 3 days of scrimmages against the Pats next week

We'll sweep the 4 preseason games

We'll steamroll through the 16 game regular season

Breeze past our conference playoff opponents in 2 games

Shut out the 1 remaining team in our Super Bowl quest

We'll also be the 1 team to represent the entire NFC in the Pro Bowl

Pretty obvious that we're going 27-0

Obviously the definition of truth is being twisted just slightly.

I didnt think I was twisting the truth. The thread asked for my prediction and I gave it and I thought I was being an optimist. The only way this team is better than last year is if RG plays better (which I think he will) and why I think they will double last year's win total.

I think, not only does Griffin play better, but we don't see a team that throws in the towel in November and December like last year's team did. The Minnesota game is a case in point, where we were winning the game, but came out in the 2nd half and just folded. I don't know the exact reasons, I doubt it's all Shanahan, but I believe Gruden and the Skins don't lose that game. And December was laughable, you knew the team had left the building. So, imo, you can't just say a healthy Griffin is worth double last year's win totals, because last year's losses weren't always due to on the field causes (even though the symptoms were clearly bad play)

They did throw in the towel and I attributed that to coming to the realization that RG didnt have it last year and as soon as they made the switch to KC the team saw the writing on the wall. Plus Shanny knew he was gone so I think it was a perfect storm for the team to just play out the string and head into the off-season. I agree that JG at least wont give up since he's trying to make his bones as a HC. That and a healthy RG are the reasons I think they double their win total.

Stating the only way we get better is with rg3 plays better is a little short sighted. Special teams, front 7, and the Oline need and will be better. I'm not going into the season thinking about the performance of the qb.

On this team the QB is the straw that stirs the drink. Without him playing well they dont win much at all.
