Big fan of the Callahan move. Finally getting some adults in the room.

Yea, just as soon as he learns he has to take the ball with him.

I like the Callahan hire but I get the feeling he will be our head coach in 2016.

I hope Callahan is able to turn the offensive line into a decent unit right away. If we want any chance at developing RG3 or any young QB, we need to have a good line that can overcome the deficiencies of a developing QB.

If we got Fangio and Donatell...then I agree with Bruce, we WOULD be winning the offseason

SO could see AP with the Cowboys. Cowboys don't give two shits about character flaws.

Re: 2015 Redskins Coaches/Coordinators News

Anyone have an update on Fangio?
I haven't seen any reports anywhere that express that Fangio is even interested in the Skins job. I just dont want to get my hopes up on a pipe dream.

If I were him I would hope for (in this order)
1. Head coaching job (is he being considered anywhere?, Atl, Den, Chi?)
2. DC of either Seattle or Cards (to take it to the 49ers...these teams have a strong D)
3. A DC role with a playoff caliber team
4. A bad team that will pay the most (redskins)
5. A bad team that pays average

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I just dont see it happening for Fangio....maybe the other 49er guy is our man if they dont stick together inside their division?

There it is. RT @MarkMaske: Vic Fangio will interview for Redskins' defensive coordinator job, possibly Saturday, according to NFL source.

I actually have a high opinion of Foerster and I think most around the league still do, but it's a matter of fit. Gruden clearly wants to run more of what they had in Cincy - power and gap running. Foerster is a zone guy. Just doesn't fit.

Yeah Callahan and Foerster are both fine coaches in their own right. Callahan just makes more sense for where we want to go.

Re: 2015 Redskins Coaches/Coordinators News

I am VERY glad Fangio is interviewing....mainly because he isnt Barry or Morris.
He sure looks good as a 49ers DC with all that talent...but he didn't do so hot elsewhere.
Not sure his is AMAZING or anything...but I am sure he is better than Haz-not.

Is Vic Fangio really considered the top DC?
What about Wade Phillips or Dick LeBeau or Jim Schwartz?
Who of the 4 is actually the best statistically?

I will be happy with any...but I'd prefer the best of the group...and I don't care if they need a hover-round on game day!
