I gotta jump in on this. I never thought I'd say this, but Daseal is 100% right. Chris Cornell was awesome when he was with Soundgarden, I'll say that much. Pretty Noose, Burden In My Hand, Jesus Christ Pose, and Black Hole Sun all had awesome, gritty vocals. But man, he just DOES NOT belong with the Rage guys. It just sounds like oil and water to me, doesn't work.
Plus, did you hear that solo album Cornell put out before getting with Audioslave? It was like I was listening to a Tori Amos CD, with Cornell trying to sing like her. It was horrible and girly. He carried that whiny nature with him to Audioslave. What happened to you, China? You used to be cool. RATM RIP |
