Re: Training Camp 2018
You really think Perine is going to stick around with all the fumbling he does?

He fumbled twice last year. If it comes down to Perine or Kelley yeah I’d keep Perine. |

Re: Training Camp 2018
You get an MRI done when something is bothering you. It's done on a precautionary basis when you want to confirm your thinking that it's not going to show damage like tears or strains.
But recall Doctson's achilles issues from his rookie season never showed any damage on the MRIs either. They never really could explain what was causing his pain, they just said rest it. So he did, for an entire season pretty much. Until I see him running around as a full participant, I'm going to feel very nervous about this.

Re: Training Camp 2018
In this article there's a video of DaRon Payne highlights at Alabama. I hadn't noticed until now, but Saban wasn't shy about using Payne as a lead blocking fullback around the goal line.
Gruden should take note, he's effective with it. Moves his feet well enough to get into proper position and secure the block. We could use help pounding the ball in at the goal line. https://www.redskins.com/news/seven-...ut-daron-payne

And maybe Iaonnidis beats out Hood for the other end spot, who knows. All I know is the quality of depth breeds that high quality competition you need in camp to set a tone throughout the season. Excited to see what Tomsula does with this group. And Zach Brown sitting behind it all being like "I got you, big fellas." Exciting times.

I could easily see the rotation being Hood starting at end in the base defense, and Ioannidis starting next to Allen in the nickel formation. Which let's be honest, the nickel formation is used much more often. I could also see it being Ioannidis starting at end in the base, and Hood becoming a rotational guy. But in such a scenario, Hood becomes the top sub for the end spots, for sure. Lanier has rush skills but dismal against the run, so he becomes the depth guy for the nickel rush package. Settle will be a rotational run stuffer but he won't see the field in the nickel pass rush package. Hood played out of position at NT last year and didn't perform well but the coaches will say they like him tons better as an end. I think he'll show enough quickness and enough ability at the point of attack to be considered a versatile enough player to start in base. Remember, Ioannidis was not starting last year in the base defense. He was coming in as the nickel rush specialist alongside Allen.

Side note here : Trent would be the highest graded returning player but the injury bug got the best of him. (as it did the whole damn team) I'm excited for this roster though. Very talented
