Or as my friend's say, smartassedness. I definitely agree with you about his ill-timed mistakes and apparent lack of effort at others. That has got to stop. But I don't think he's been nearly the categorical bust that old #82 was. Thank God for small favors. Reading these types of things, though, really makes me can't help but think... It's going to be so great to have a smart football team again!

Keep em
The way I see it is Coles is our #1, Gardner is our #2, and now we have Thrash back in the house, he is #3. That to me sounds like a 2004 version of the three amigos. For those of you who don't know who the three amigos are, they Art Monk, Gary Clark, and Ricky Sanders. Keep what we got, It's all good.

Thrash is a hard working hard nosed football player, who gives everything he has, but I see him as an occasional WR for us, I defiently feel jacob's will solidfy the #3 spot if not the 2 spot.

I always thought that Art Monk, Ricky Sanders, and Gary Clark were known as the Posse, I never heard of the three amigos used to nickname that trio

Jacobs is still a question mark, but hearing that Gibbs seemed to be very impressed with him definitely says something. Same with Gibbs comparing McCants to Monk. To me, that's the writing on the wall that a trade with RG could, and probably will happen. Nothing against Gardner, he is a good receiver, and at this point better than the two of them (and probably Thrash too), but that's exactly why he has decent trade value.
Also, yes, a 3rd or 4th round pick is not an immediate starter, but any draft pick, trade acquisition, or FA pick-up is a risk as to whether they live up to potential or not, plus an injury could happen at any time. If the teams agree on a certain value for a player in a trade, then thats the risk they take. Clark, Monk, and Sanders were the Posse. A new 4-man "Posse" of Coles, McCants, Thrash, and Jacobs sounds good to me! Let McCants, Thrash, and Jacobs compete for #2 and #3.... |

Another thing, if Gardner gets traded before draft day, the chances of the Skins drafting Winslow go up, IMO. Another, better weapon on offense...

This may be true, but it really does not take away from the fact that we will still be full at the WR position. That really won't become one of our main needs. I think even if he is, we still have a high chance of getting Taylor.

Ive got a feel that we shouldnt hold our breaths for a trade before traft day. My gut tells me that the Skins are going to keep quite and then there will be lots of surprises when Paul T. comes out to make announcements. He wants to have trade bait for draft day, and if he trades before then he wont have as much bait to DRAFT TAYLOR AND WINSLOW!!!

We could rotate McCants and Jacobs as the number two...
OR - unless we have specific people in mind, hold on to RG until he is a free agent. His cap figure is not that big for a starting receiver. |

But like you say, Gardner's cap numbers do not warrant a trade, and if they keep him he might finally blossom into the player they thought he could be. |
