With the 51st pick of the draft, the Houston Texans select Jonathan Dwyer, RB from Georgia Tech.



The Texans need RB help with the RRBC they've had for years. Dwyer would be the power back to compliment Slaton's speed and could take over if Slaton doesn't return to the 2008 version. Dwyer is an upgrade over Ryan Moats and Chris Brown who are FAs unlikely to return.

With the 56th pick of the draft, the Green Bay Packers select Jared Veldheer, OT from Hillsdale College.



The Packers have weakness at both tackles and there is no telling how much longer the recently re-signed Chad Clifton can last. Aaron Rodgers took a beating last season and going forward, that needs to be fixed. Veldheer is a very capable blocker who after a year in a backup role could be a capable starting tackle for a long time for Green Bay. He's perhaps the best available tackle at this point of the draft. His outstanding vertical jump results show he has the explosiveness and quickness to hold his own against NFL defensive ends.
