Thank God!!!!! Once more I have to eat some crow. These OL picks are huge. Our new FO does indeed have a plan and have addressed our number one need bigtime. I don't know if these guys will pan out, but at least they are addressing a major sore spot on the roster. I freaked when they picked up the WR from UCLA. I am 165 lbs, and even if I was a gifted WR like TO I am not sure I would want to play in the NFL. That guy gets nailed by an OLB and he is a goner!!!!!

It was probably a good idea to take Riley early since a lot of LBs were undersized and/or pass rush specialist types only. I'm more than satisfied what with we have. Grades

1st OT Trent Williams A+, He'll come right in and start
4th LB Perry Riley B, Solid, just solid. A traditional LB
6th FB Dennis Morris B, This guy wants to knock defenders on their ass
7th WR/KR Terrance Austin B, A cocky (rookie) Santana Moss
7th OL Eric Cook B, Value with his versatility
7th OT Selvish Capers B+, Because we waited for him

I too am excited about getting average to below average OT prospect Selvish Capers about two rounds behind value. He might actually be the second best OT on the roster. In which case, we're screwed.

The FO made up for it in the 7th, with Capers having a chance to beat out Heyer, and Cook adding depth. If Austin can gain 5-10 pounds he could be a poor mans D- Jackson. Good Picks!

Im actually kinda happy we decided to keep Rocky, Laron, Carlos, and Phat Albert and not give them away for late round picks.

Our roster going into camp is going to be very competitive and this is going to be the most interesting camp in a very long long long time. Cant wait to see who wins spots and who is gone.

Any word on free agent signings yet??

The jury is still out on McIntosh. That's why Riley was such a good selection.

McIntosh is a pretty average LB...he's been around for awhile. Riley is an ok pick IMO, we will see how everything shakes out. Rocky still could be moved.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 4-7

I was one who welcomed trades for players that were not motivated! But I ask is the threat of trades and commitment to team enough to hold down the malcontents on this team... they have to some how kick the thinking that had set in to the team before Shanny... $$$ was the only motivator! now it is if you perform then money is part of the equation...not all... how about a little thing called a super bowl.

Relax! I don't think we are super Bowl bound...not yet

Thumbs up Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 4-7

I had to work today so I just spent an hour reading all of this thread, I would like to say that I am very happy with the way the draft turned out. It would seem that the FO did some thinking and actually had a plan. I can't wait until the preseason starts. HEY ALBERT IF YOUR ARE NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. BE PART OF THE TEAM AND A LEADER AND GET UR ASS TO WORK.
