^ lol exactly! I tell him to worry about his " SB favorite " team and all of their injuries so far in camp.

“We’re throwing a lot at him,” offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said. “He’ll have a couple good days and a couple bad days. That’s what you expect from any quarterback in camp, but especially one that’s new. You want him to make some of these mistakes so he can learn from them.”

Redskins running some Wildcat with Banks at QB today

My gut says Sundberg doesn't last pass the first preseason game

Beck could surpass Grossman if both keep playing the way they have been recently. Though I still think Grossman holds on to the back up job when all is said and done

The prospect of flirting with the Wildcat will give D/C's something else to prepare for. Any maneuver that will occupy a portion of the oppositions practice time is a good one.

Agree, I think if Banks makes the team he would make a good 3rd down back IMO I know he's a WR.

I really look forward to seeing the little guy play. He's got speed to burn and can contribute in a variety of ways. I know the odds are long, but it would be nice if we could find a spot for him.

This article says that we are merely prepping for other teams' Wildcats.

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread

That could work...if Banks can hold onto the ball. He seems like the type of player who tries to get that extra yard but forgets to hold onto the ball. Saw him put it down a few times...but he's blazing fast and probably tough to tackle because of his tiny size.

Banks and Austin are getting tested hard though. Another thing I noticed, in the return drills, they were sending everyone at the two rookies, but not the vets. The rookies were getting hit and tackled, balls stripped, but Moss/Thomas/Hall/Buchanon/Tryon were just catching the ball and when they approached a tackler...they both just stopped. No contact. Banks and Austin...send all 11 after them!

I don't think Beck will pass Grossman though. Rex made some really nice passes...and some INTs this weekend...but like Todd Collins, I think he gets the backup job because he knows the offensive playbook better.

Let's hope these residual effects he's experiencing from a surgery that kept him out of football all last year will not be something of an ongoing concern.

I'm pretty sure I heard they recently MRI'd his hip/hernia area and found no irregularities. Just soreness that comes from the rigors of training camp/recovering from surgery.

The first preseason game doesn't mean much for a guy like him. He's entrenched as a starting tackle and is a seasoned vet. No need to risk him out there this early. I like the decision to hold him back.
