if thats true, then i hope thats exactly what the skins do. i say screw fat al, the money has already been paid so screw it. let fat al just rott away, maybe even rott his career away. who really cares anymore? i sure don't.

If u can't pass that test your just one lazy SOB. I've not worked out in a long time and I have no doubt that I could go out and run that right now and pass it easily.
It sounds like it may be difficult, but after watching the thing I agree. I may be able to pass it with a week of training let alone an offseason in which I lost 35 pounds.. This whole episode is dragging on far to long for something that should be easy for a NFL athlete.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test

I think AH wants out and is playing games at this point. It is a tit for tat kind of thing. Yeah it could be the knee thing also as some have said, but losing 35 lbs would alleviate that problem to a certain extent. I say he is jerking the Skins around.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test

I guess you could be right, but I thought there was some actual physical evidence that the trainers saw? Swelling in his knee. I am not disagreeing with you either.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test

I mean sure the knee could be an issue, but why keep trying to do it, if it is an issue? Just tell the coaches you are having knee problems and deflate the hype/story and just wait a couple weeks. He can observe from the sidelines and study his playbook til the swelling goes down or he gets treated.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test

But see that's part of the issue here, his conditioning. I mean really, does Albert Haynesworth, of all people, have the luxury of sitting out yet two more weeks; not participating, not meshing with his teammates, not learning the system? I think not.

This is becoming a no-win situation for all parties involved. On one hand I support Shanny's approach, but on the other it's time to play football. This is something that could have and should have been dealt with prior to Fat Al receiving his $21 million.

It's water under the bridge now and we need to get ready for the Dallas Cowboys. And love it or hate, we need Haynesworth to be in the middle to stop that three-headed beast from Dallas.

I agree, but if he isn't playing games, and his knee is a serious issue, better just stay out til it heals and gets treated than trying to force the issue and maybe have him get truly messed up. The franchise has a lot invested in AH, make sure he is healthy should be a priority. Not makingexcuses, the guy's conditioning truly sucks for losing 35 lbs. Maybe he aggravated his knees as a result of slimming down 35 lbs. Maybe he over did it. Who knows? He could be hiding the extent of his knee problems. That is a different slant. Maybe he overdid it losing the 35 lbs and his knees have been aggravated as a result. If that is the case, he should just come clean and not try and force it.

Most likely his knee is flaring up due to the fact its not ready to run all those yrds. He should have been doing more running so his knees would be prepared for these shuttles.
I agree 100% with this. Also he could have screwed his knee up on that first run that would explian why he needed the ten minute and why he walked on the last run(just theory).

Good post. Honestly I don't get where all these ppl are getting the "oh he's faking it" or other stuff like that. Everything I've heard from MS doesn't insinuate this at all. I've come around to MS approach to this, despite turning this into a circus, he has humbled AH in front of everyone. he'll be on the field and he'll practice eventually.

I look forward to seeing MS accomplish something that no other coach in Snyder's tenure has accomplished...take a talented (and troublesome) player and make him produce on the field for us.
