Re: Week 6:Redskins vs. Colts Gameday thread

We still need to run the ball and use screens to slow down the Colts pass rush to get back in this game. Sure hope someone on offense can get them going like last week.

Torain is a keeper. We have found a decent replacement for Portis. I think we are going to see CP phased out a tad when he comes back. I hope he comes back 100%, and somehow can get back some of the magic, but I think his days as a starter are numbered.

I don't see how 46 isn't the number 1 even when CP comes back

True, but I think you will see a dual type system when he does, just to give Ryan a rest. I can see it Torain two thirds of the carries Portis a third or something close to that ratio.

Once again, through some strange unexplained cause, a bad kicker is the only reason we aren't totally getting blown out.

We have been lucky this year with a log of missed FGs by opposing kickers. That trend can't keep up all year.

Our kicker missed a FG to which we could have been down by only 7points.

They have to find a way to hit Manning during the second half, that's the only way to stop him.

Re: Week 6:Redskins vs. Colts Gameday thread

So let's look at the missed opportunities against the best QB in the league...

- Two dropped INTs (maybe three if you want to stick it to Rogers)
- A missed fumble recovery
- A key thrown INT in a drive that could have given us a 7-0 lead; instead gave the Colts the first points
- A missed FG that could have put us a TD away from the lead

A few positives so far...
- Torain is running hard and is the only thing our offense has to show for right now
- Our defense has kept the Colts to 17 pts

Why Galloway and no Armstrong on that series when Armstrong was catching everything early?

Here is another good question - why is Fred Davis never given a chance in this offense? Another wasted pick from 2008.

It's just hard for 2 TE's to get many catches, look at Dallas with Bennett. Cooley is just better but Fred is also a Starter in the NFL. One of those guys won't be in DC next season
