But its true. RG3 don't need no stinkin' coaches. Or a playbook either, for that matter! You all think that me goat and gtripp like being the negative nancies. Pretty sure we don't. But us three also don't like going up a hill in neutral either. And thats just what we see. Shit, we are prolly wrong, and our defense will probably tighten up quicker than a homophobe's sphincter muscle at a gay club. We all hope it does. But at the end of the day, I think us three expect a little more than the usual wait and see that us redskins fans have gotten way too used to the past 20 years. With RG3, hopefully Dan Snyder will see what us three think this team could be, and cut bait from the 75 year old coach who hasn't had a playoff appearance in the past 7 seasons, but who has now all of a sudden started to show results, just when our qb savior comes around. You all want to give that credit to the egomaniac coach with a 35% winning %, fine. Us three put ours on the young out of this universe athlete and what HE brings to the table. |

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
Just wondering how many teams in the NFL RG3 would have looked BAD on?

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
Probably any team that tried to force him into a more conventional pro offense right off the bat.

Let me speak in the same language that has been leveled at me and see if it makes it easier for you to see why I find the posts blasting Shanahan so obnoxious: If you can't see that this organization is in a better place than it was 3 years ago, then you are a moronic Cerrato apologist.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
I'm consistently patient. I think while the Redskins are headed in the right direction, things could be worse than they are. I'm willing to cut Mike Shanahan some slack. The team he inherited from Jim Zorn is more competitive. If not for drafting RG3, the Redskins would be tied with Carolina at 1-6. If not for the defense taking 1,000 steps back, the Redskins would own a 6-2/5-3 record even with the injuries to Carriker and Orakpo.
The problem isn't Mike Shanahan. If you look at the Giants, they aren't really that much better or worse than the Redskins. They own a 6-2 record because they are a more complete team. Allen and Shanahan aren't through completing the Redskins. |

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?
People are looking at just the W/L, not how competitive the Skins have been this year. We've been out of just one game in eight so far. That's a huge step up even if it's not currently reflected in W/L, which it will be.
