I think you should all listen to this woman. She has more knowledge and direction for this country than any politician out there.
Just because I have called you liberal does not mean your a dem. The green party is liberal or progressive how ever you want to call it. I give you credit for voting for who you most support. She says the war put us in dept but if you take all her programs we would be in even more dept.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)

So tired of hearing how the country is going down the crapper or how civilization as we know it is going to end if Obama is re-elected. Didn't we hear this same rhetoric 4 years ago... well we're still all here amazingly enough. If we survived 8 years of dubya something tells me we can make it through Obama.

We hear the same thing every four years no matter who is in office. If Obama wins I might not like it but I'll survive. I will buy a few guns and some additional amo but we will survive.

Could not agree more. Even if all the scare tactics and doomsday scenarios concerning Obama were true, which they're not, he's still only President of a government with checks and balances one of which is a Republican congress.

However with the way the far right describes it you might think Obama was running for King. Granted I support Romney because I think his plan has more potential to get the economy going but Obama's plan isn't going to destroy America. I mean it might get annoying having 10,000 different EPA regulations to follow and an even more complicated tax code but it's certainly not going to destroy us.

You are always harping on Obama without any rational...Specifically, what regulations and anti-bussiness practice of his administration bother you?

If you cant articulate your opinions with some facts and thoughtfulness you are no better than the extremist.

I did. Well not me personally but I posted this video a couple of pages back which cited multiple examples.

Either way I work in transportation but I'd rather stay anonymous online. Needless to say I deal with the EPA and DOT on a semi regular basis and they enforce enough unnecessary costly rules that make the delivery of goods more expensive which results in higher prices for the end consumer. Heck some of the equipment they force companies to buy cost the same as a years salary for one employee. So instead of hiring a person to help their business, companies are forced to buy equipment where the impact in terms of protecting the environment is minimal.

The video should cite more then enough examples though.

You're citing Allen West? Well, that answers the extremist question. Did you verify his claims or are we to take them at face value? I mean, this guy seem to imply all the regulation is bad not simply less regulations.

When there is a need for regulation there should be developed in concert with the private sector and done in common sense.
I don't believe Mr. Allen quite understand that regulators aren't suppose to be in bed or do anything in concert with those being regulated. I just hope you realize that this is the reason why SEC is so in effective in dealing with the shenanigans that go on of Wall St.
