Someone paid off the casino hush money I bet. Rice is soft too. Unless that woman was punching his lights out, no good reason to hit a lady.

This makes me smile, just as it did when he was missing from a few broadcasts. Costas has to be my least favorite sports commentator EVER. It was great when he was calling us racists and demanding we change our name in his halftime rant during a game where the Redskins were not even playing! Then, he ruined the Olympics with his love for homosexuals.

Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
I am looking forward to the start of Free Agency!
Mostly, I'm interested in what the Skins can accomplish but I'm interested, in general, as well. I think it's going to start fast and be a real donnybrook. That's because there are numerous good players available and it looks like more than half of the teams in the NFL will have over $20MM to spend. At least five or six teams could have over $30MM to spend with both Oakland and Indy having huge amounts of cap space at $64MM and $40MM, respectively, at present. If Oakland is planning to spend, they could bring in several big-time players to lead their team. Other than the Skins, Indy probably intrigues me the most because they already have Andrew Luck and now they have the opportunity to make some significant upgrades to their team in FA (and the draft). Let's get ready to r-r-r-r-r-RUMBLE!

I hope we're strategically aggressive and make good fit moves, not star chasing. I get the feeling we're past the big splashy moves. Allen has never been a 'name' guy, been almost cheap to be honest. Gruden seems like more of a grinder/prove it guy than a big name/flash guy. I won't be surprised with a decent sized day one move, laying low for a few days to let the market come to us and then a busy end of the week/start of week 2.

Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
cooley said last week that haslett would like to play man on the outside so he can bring pressure with the front 7 or bring a safety and make it 8 (nothing no one didnt know before).... but that requires 2 very good almost stud corners and thinks the skins should and will target a true shutdown corner.
seems talib is the only thing close to a shut down corner but i cant follow the nfl as close as i used to. im worried about talib's fragile body though ..... but i think a shutdown corner is moving up my list of wants and dropping DL very far down or even off my list 1. RT 2. FS 3. no. 1 cb 4. ILB 5. interior OL really glad QB is off that list nowadays

I agree with this list ^ except I would flip FS and RT. (I know we need to protect RGIII, but if we don't get some safety help, he won't see the field anyway as our D will be on for 45 minutes per game.)

NFL Sources: Bucs shop Darrelle Revis - ESPN
Tampa Bay needs to restructure Revis' contract if they can't get a trade done. Releasing him would be a big mistake. He's the best man-on-man corner in the league, and you gotta find a way to keep him around for Lovie's defense. |

I know identity theft is no joke but I found this fake Adam Schefter Twitter account to be hilarious just for fooling a pro writer, even if only for a couple minutes.
