I've been wanting him here since day one of free agency, had lost hope a little bit...

The fact that he's visiting us so late in FA may mean nobody matched his price and he'll have to lower it ?

This player is a no brainer for us. We need better run defense; we need to get better up the middle of our defense; we need speed on defense. Zach Brown is a tackling machine at ILB who runs a 4.5 forty. He is a perfect fit for our needs.

I don't mind if we overpay him within reason but I want him on a multi-year contract.

Didn't know much about him and was skeptical about a breakout year following four initial mediocre ones and concerns that he doesn't call defenses like Compton...

But given the needs, if the price is right, would do this in a heartbeat. Lot of good reviews about him and youtube clips and youtube film reviews and hard to argue with signing a 27 year old ProBrowl player.. You'd think with Swearinger and Brown our middle of field would look a lot better, and hope to improve on the DLine with the draft..

And for folks talking about Compton, sure he is an ok player, but really what has he done but help lead an underperforming squad? You cant criticize C Baker on the way out but praise Compton. doesn't make sense

Brown would offer the Redskins speed inside – he won a Maryland state title in the 100-meter dash while at Columbia’s Wilde Lake High School. That speed helped turn him into a second-round pick by Tennessee in 2012. But after a disappointing four seasons with the Titans, Brown recorded 149 tackles – second-most in the NFL – with Buffalo. He also recorded four sacks and two forced fumbles in earning his first Pro Bowl berth and second-team All-Pro honors.

Brown was considered excellent in coverage, thanks to his ability to go sideline-to-sideline in a hurry. He was able to cover backs and tight ends. That would be a big help for the Redskins. It would also enable them to perhaps add more pass-rush ability from the inside.

Yes, both Mason Foster and Compton (1 year tender) are in last year of deals. ILB high in the draft makes sense.

I think a Dlineman is key. But I cant go a week without hearing Anthony Lanier's name as someone we are really high on who we are expecting to take the "next step" and will get more opportunity the coming season. Seems like Keim and Gruden are always name dropping him.

I expect us to go Nosetackle...but where, I have no clue.

Absolutely. The word "Carnage" comes to mind when I think of having two ILB's of that caliber manning the middle. We can still get good DLmen in the 2nd round on. Counting what we have on the outside already, that would be one hell of a group of LBers. I'm stoked just thinking about it. Damn. If Gallette came back strong too? A man can dream can't he? I'd also like to see P. Smith playing on the line more. Sounds vicious to me MC.

i like it. i really hope gallette can make it back.

i saw saban come out and defend foster's character/demeanor after seeing some criticism from scouts. are there any other red flags on foster?
