Back in the 90s, when the NFL began doing the Throwback weekends and the like, the Skins wore some uniforms with the old color variation and no helmet logo. Looked like USC, but they were really sweet. I would suggest that for the season unless Dan wants one more season as (nominally) the Redskins.

You just have to keep that intact. Redwolf to me is an absolute joke. We would basically have the feel of an expansion team IMO. That brand of the Indian has to be important to Dan.

Agreed.

The whole (fake) argument is that "Redskins" is a racist slur and needs to be changed.

We're doing that.

The same habitually-offended protesters aren't out picketing other teams with Native-American identities as vigorously. We should be able to keep the theme while satisfying the "woke mob".

The Braves, Indians, Blackhawks, NBA Warriors, FSU Seminoles, Utah Utes and countless others are not being financially-blackmailed into changing like Dan Snyder has been. The Cleveland Indians are choosing on their own to explore a name change because they don't want this mess coming to their door next, but they're not being forced...yet.

I'd be happy if we returned to the original name of Braves as well. Heck, do that with the 1932 throwbacks with leather helmets full time. It would look great!

I don't understand how the history won't be intact no matter what you call the team. Nobody is erasing the Super Bowls or records. It's all there. This franchise has changed names before and the history of the Braves and Boston Redskins is still all there and will continue to be tied to whatever they call it next.

To us on here yes but will the media (ESPN, NFLN) etc still say the "Redskins won 3 SBs" Or will they try and forget that past all together?

So how big of a deal is this potentially? I heard Dan Patrick talking about this...this guy supposedly owns almost every mascot name possible and rake Snyder over the coals to get it???
