Translating generic preseason plays into success in the regular season has absolutely zero correlation. Washington lore is filled with training camp heroes that don't pan out in the regular season. If Howell is as smart as some of you think he is then he is learning a lot this season.

You won't know unless you try, what's the harm? At least try and see what happens, he's no Gus Frerotte.

I don't want him to start because of how he looked in pre-season. I want him to start because Wentz sucks and Heinicke has a noodle arm. He's a good No. 2. I simply think Howell is the best of the 3 and 100% has the most upside.

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD … Let’s Go!

First Ron is responsible for putting this 0-line together. That is on him. The Norell signing is a failure.

Next he is responsible for signing Wentz. We already know how I felt about that signing so no need to to keep harping on it. But the one thing I kept saying is a good NFL QB is not on his 3rd team in 3 years. If he is then that is huge red flag.

William Jackson for the most part can run w/ the wr's and is right there. But he can't make the play when it's time to. He's a fucking spaz and has to grab the wr when he doesn't have to. Diggs on the other hand is totally comfortable when it is time to make a play.

Ron Rivera is the type of man that would suck his own dick if he could bend that far down. Ron loves him some Ron.

The line and Wentz are not helping each other right now. But Wentz doesn't seem to have any feel for the game at all. He throws late, early, high and I think some of it is he has the jitters cause of the line. Forget pocket presence, he doesn't seem have presence.

If Robinson comes back next week, he will help the OL. Wentz is not fixable.

Gibson would still get most reps given how he has performed the first 4 games.

Nope, Wentz isn't. One thing that RG3 said is he is a space thrower and I agree 100%. He can't have guys around him, he needs a clean pocket to throw the ball w/ accuracy.

Exactly! That's who he is at this juncture of his career.

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD … Let’s Go!

One thing about Taylor is he at least has a feel for the game and can escape better than Wentz. I am not playing Howell under any circumstances until perhaps a few games left in the year. Putting him in this early is clearly a give up, wave the white flag sign. You can't do that to your vets that are trying to win games. I think the players do have confidence in the noodle. He has played several good games.

I would give Heinecken a chance, anyone but Wentz

If Turner calls a game like today where everything is within 5 yards of LOS go for it, but you aren't winning with Heinicke either so it is a moot point.
