Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
I was thinking that when I heard the announcement this morning actually. The Broncos got a great coach with John Fox and the 49ers could be in good shape with Harbaugh, but a few other teams have hired coaches already when Fisher would have been a superior candidate.

Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
I want to know how anything can cost a team gems in the UDFA market? We didn't choose that undrafted star qb, because we signed McNabb? If we hadn't gotten Brown, we would have kept the perfect UDFA RT?

There's at least some CHANCE(7% or less) that they'll be a stud. The probability of McNabb or Brown being good 5 years from now is 0.00001%, give or take. And that's just the cost of a roster spot, not the picks given up for them. Antonio Dixon? Yeah, we put him on the practice squad. Where is he now? Oh yeah, on the Eagles as a starter. We could have lost Austin or Banks as well.

Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Speaking of UDFA's I wonder if Shanahan would have kept Chase Daniels. I'm afraid we cut ties with him too soon.

Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Sorta off topic... I'm sure it was mentioned but I either forgot or missed it. Virginia has a UFL team this year the "Virginia Destroyers".
Virginia Destroyers | UFL The GM is Doug Williams. Front Office | UFL John Gruden's brother Jay Gruden is the HC. Staff Roster | UFL The Dance Team Co-ordinator is Kimberly Vaughn who was a 8 yr vet of the Washington Redskins. Virginia Destroyers Announce Dance Team Coordinator | UFL Interesting. |

Ah! OK! I wonder how successful this league will be? Seems like playing their games during the NFL season would be the kiss of death.

Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Yeah thought the same thing. Then I thought, they're the Eagles and the organizational and personel moves work most of the time. If this were the Redskins Id say this is a typical move and would end in a miserable failure.
