With a million games on the schedule, don't you have to have patience in general as a regular baseball fan?

I we cant reach for RG3 and get peyton manning then trade down and get young stud OL, WR can be upgraded thorugh FA (vjax and Reggie wayne)

If we have PM, who knows could go Claiborne assuming JB is not there. OL is a good possibility or WR. I have no idea, so many variables out there.

... But to me if a qb has the potential to be the franchise qb. I don't care if he's drafted at 6 or 60th overall - if that's a need on your team I think you just draft him as soon as possible. And if you think you can take a calculated risk by trading down and still get him then do it. But be ready to feel the pain if the risk backfires when a team drafts him and he's no longer available.

... how many times can the Shanahans go through an entire offseason and not draft a quarterback that they can develop? I think they have no choice but to draft a qb this time around.

I said early on that Mike Shanahans legacy will depend on what he does with the qb position in Washington.

The good thing for the Shanahans is that they buy some time by drafting a qb early in the draft. If they don't and whoever at qb in 2012 doesn't produce - that may mean the end for the Shanahan regime. But they also must make this pick count by picking the qb they want.

^Are you suggesting they go all in for Luck or RG3? Why settle for Tannehill?

At this point you have to assume that Lucks not a possibility. So my plan A would be to sign Manning and then draft Tannehill at 6 and have him sit for at least one year. My plan B would be - to do whats needed to trade up to 2 to get RGIII.

That's if I were in Mike Shanahans position.

I would say switch A and B.
