^ Yeah they'll deal with it in 3 years. Until then it's very manageable.

Re: Around the NFL Off - Season style.

If RG3 does what Flacco has done, that is...take his team to the playoffs for 5 straight years, a few conference championship games, a dropped pass and a missed chip shot fg away from a SB, and a SB MVP, everyone here would be saying he's well worth the money. It's not all about numbers. Flacco has started every game for 5 years in a row and it's that stability at QB that has a big influence on why they're in the playoffs every year. I hope RG3 can do what Joe Flacco has done.

Giving Flacco far too much credit for team accomplishments IMO.

Flacco is a cog in the system that is the Ravens, he's hardly the engine that makes it run. He's got a top 3 RB, and a downright dominant defense (even with an aging Ray Lewis). IF RG3 had the surroundings Flacco has and has had, he'd be winning a lot more than that.

I think there's some truth to what you're saying. But Baltimore did not have a dominant defense this year. The offense was the better unit and Flacco was a big part of that.

Re: Around the NFL Off - Season style.

Dwayne Bowe signs a 5 year deal with KC according to Schefter.

They may use the franchise tag now on Branden Albert

EDIT

They DID use the tag on Branden Albert. Its done folks.

Luke Jockel may not go to KC now, but he could still go first if a team trades up for him.

Boy, more good moves for the Chiefs. Albert has become a very good tackle, and people know about Bowe.

Reid gonna move back in the draft and pick up a better pick than the one he lost for Smith. Broncos better watch out this season, they were terribly overrated last year in the worst division in the league.

I would not be surprised if they still drafted LJ with the#1 and moved him to right until it's time to cut Albert. You'd have two bookend tackles, and a future stud LT to boot. I would. Don't think anybody else is really worthy of that #1 spot. The top talent is so meh.....

Also, I hate when athletes say...."it's not about the money...it's about respect"

Joe Flacco of Baltimore Ravens says he feels respected with new deal - ESPN

GTFO of here. It's about the money asshole, just be honest.

Interesting stuff, I guess this could also apply to RGIII.

I also didn't know that he tore his ACL, which doesn't nessecessarily make you believe he is someone we as a team can rely upon to bolster the secondary. When you look at Merriweather, TJ, and Chase there are way to many question marks with health and off field issues there. We obviously need to bolster those positions with healthy and good character talent.

Sounds like he feels under appreciated in Baltimore.

Not sure what he's expecting. They aren't going to give a old ass safety big money, when they have several other players they need to resign.

Hoody basically has a man crush on Ed Reed. If he doesn't stay in Balt then he's going to NE.
