Re: Happy New Year- Skins vs Giants gameday thread!
Cousins quote on the radio post-game on whether he would stay with the Redskins: "the ball is in their court now". Bezzzt- wrong answer.

Re: Happy New Year- Skins vs Giants gameday thread!
I'm not sure if anyone on here realizes this, or perhaps no one wants to admit it, but the Giants are a pretty good team. Their offense leaves a lot to be desired, but they have a SB winning QB and some playmakers. Their defense is for real. They are the only team to beat the Cowboys. Pretty sure they are top 5 in points allowed. Skins barely beat them the first go-round. If not for a fake punt and a couple timely INTs, it would have likely been a loss. I'm glad the Giants didn't rest anyone, and played to win. That is the way it should be. The Skins lost the game, and in turn don't deserve to be in the playoffs. I mean if they can't win a 'win and your in' game at home against a team that really has nothing to play for, other than getting the bad taste out of their mouths after losing to Philly, they have no business being in the playoffs. Period.
And the INT by Cousins at the end of the game was a pass that should not have been thrown, but this team didn't miss the playoffs because of Cousins. This team is probably 4-12 without Cousins. All this talk about him going somewhere else is just the crack talking. Straight garbage... No way in hell he goes anywhere, and the team didn't gain any "leverage" (as was stated earlier in the thread) because of this game, the Panthers game or any other game. He will basically write his own check. Hopefully there's enough $ left to make the defense better. |

Great qbs step up with the game on the line, not throw interceptions. Let's not minimize that interception. The interception that ended the game, also ended the Redskins opportunity to get into the playoffs. I think his mind was more on getting respect and his big contract than actually winning games this season. |

This. You cannot minimize that throw. Any halfway decent quarterback is aware of the situation- field position-down and distance- etc. and throws that shit away or takes a sack. I will say I do not think that his mind was on getting respect or anything. I just think he panics. I do not want to pay for panic. |

Happy New Year- Skins vs Giants gameday thread!

Yes but lets distinguish between being almost in fg range and it is first and ten down by 3 vs you need to air it out to have any chance of winning. Great ones throw that particular pass away. Hell mediocre ones throw that away. Truly puzzled by it. Truly troubled as a Skins fan by his performance today. |

Happy New Year- Skins vs Giants gameday thread!
He missed wide open guys, was absolutely terrible in the pocket, accuracy was piss poor most of the game, and threw a ball up for grabs on first and ten with the season on the line and practically in fg range.
Top 10 quarterbacks do not do that shit. He was at home. He was healthy. He has a shit ton of weapons. His D showed up. There is no excuse whatsoever for his performance. If it were a meaningless game id chalk it up as a bad day and get over it, but this was far from meaningless. And for everyone talking about TEAM - do you want to tie up so much money in one guy who just showed you that , not only could he not put the team on his back - but he couldn't even "manage" the game? I do not. |

Re: Happy New Year- Skins vs Giants gameday thread!
The defense held the Giants to 13 points before his stupid season ending interception. Cousins couldn't lead the team to 14, including 1 of the dumbest interceptions you'll ever see. This game was on him and no one else. Yes, it's a team game, but 1 player can lose individual games. He still hasn't learned that you can't just chuck the ball whenever you feel like it. He gets antsy and the bigger the game the worse it gets. And that wasn't his only bad throw.

Re: Happy New Year- Skins vs Giants gameday thread!
I think he's an above average qb throughout the course of a whole season and a mediocre qb in big games. Really good qbs don't throw that pass either. Like honestly what the fuck was he thinking on that throw? And it's not a rare thing. He's done it regularly. See: 1st Dallas game.

Geez get these jock riders out of here. Only respectable Cowboys fan is Sandtrap and he earned it. Talk shit and then expect someone to lick your boots for talking shit back. GTFO
P.s. did anyone see Skins post-game? Was anyone fired up or were they the usual castrated eunuchs? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Is he going to get paid like a great qb? ...Yes, but does he deserve it? No
