Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Goff is a definite no. He is a lower tier starter w limited mobility, is too hot and cold & has a big contract. Just no on all fronts. Guys like Goff and Jimmy G are not who we should be signing. They're not wanted by their own teams so why should we consider them?

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Jared Goff signed a 4 year, $134,000,000 contract with the Los Angeles Rams, including a $25,000,000 signing bonus, $110,042,682 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $33,500,000. In 2021, Goff will earn a base salary of $25,325,000 and a roster bonus of $2,500,000, while carrying a cap hit of $34,625,000 and a dead cap value of $65,525,000.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I really don't get what you think the solution is for the obvious need at QB. I don't want to misstate your ideal plan, but this is what I think it is.
No trades - No qb's available are good enough or worth using our draft resources to get. Get a franchise qb through the draft, with no interference by DS. If the QB drafted doesn't pan out, go through the process again, changing FO if need be to find the right group that can work within the conditions of WFT as owned by DS. I don't think you would be ok using the resources needed to get up to the #1 or 2 overall pick, so if having losing seasons till we find that QB is what has to happen than so be it. Sorry, I just don't get the plan. I hear all the negative reasons for what we can't do, but I don't have a clue at all what you realistically think we can do. |

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I doubt they are even interested in Goff. It definitely seems like the Stafford ship has sailed... Watson is a pipe dream.
Who else we got? Carr maybe Goff maybe Everyone else is just Meh. I’d rather trade #19 and a 2022 first for Fields or Lance/Wilson

No to Goff .... Watson was never going happen.. Stafford was a great idea but seems a lot of other teams had same idea, please please no Cam ! Options now ? Carr, Darnold,Fitz, Tua ??( would you trade 19th for him?) .. how about this years and next years to move up and grab top rookie Qb ?

Mariota or Carr.. one of them is gone, I’d definitely bring one Carr in to start for 2/3 years

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Carr would smoke TH and KA in a QB1 competition. Derek is a really good QB.
