Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

I am kinda relieved we only have signed 2 WRs due to our cap situation, I'd rather secure ILB, Safety, and Oline before going overboard with WRs, unless he is an absolute stud

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

Does anyone think Barnes could successfully convert to a FS?, perhaps that is an option?

I would much rather have Ross than Newman.

Unlike our fat receivers and anorexic lineman. Oh look, Kory L is eating a second carrot with his 129th cup of coffee. Bravo Kory.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

Two sum up some questions on the past 2 pages.

We Have talked to Newman.

Mario Manningham is NOT a slot WR (Cruz was their slot guy)

Moss, Austin, Robinson are all going to be cut IMO

We need to draft a slot guy. Perfect fit for us; Ryan Broyles OU. We could get him in the 4th round since he had a knee injury this year. They only problem is that Royal would have been a slot AND PR. Right now we have really neither.

A name you all should keep your eye on, Mike Brisiel G Houston Texans. He's with the Raiders, and will reportedly visit us should the Raiders not give him a decent offer. He's 29 (negative) but is a very good guard whose played in this offense and is better than either guards we have now.

Also your daily Eric Winston update. He visited KC today. Reportedly he wants to be teh highest paid RT in the league. Which sounds like no bueno for us.

Yeah SS mentioned him earlier:

but I think Chester is a better guard than Brisiel.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

According to the Washington Post:
for those wondering Eddie Royals contract may disgust some...

3 years $13+ million, $6 million guaranteed...Supposedly we offered him a 2 year $12 million deal...

I am disgusted indeed. Why would we offer him only 2 years? It isn't as if he's 36 years old - he will be 26 when the season starts. At that age, the FO should have offered more than 2 years. Bummer.
