No need, we can just bash all the camp fodder right here.

Well you didn't specify. I guess this shows you like the giants more than I do on account that you know their roster so well. So there :cheeky-sm

Yeah , suprised he is still on the board ( think he got hurt ) . DE Guyton / Cal might be a nice fit in our rotation .

Another way I look at is we tried to build secondary depth from 2004 through last year. Sean Taylor, Carlos Rogers, Reed Doughty, Laron Landry, Justin Tryon, Kareem Moore, Chris Horton, Kevin Barnes, DeJon Gomes, and Brandyn Thompson. 10 guys.

Compared to 7 offensive linemen in that same time span and 4 of those guys were drafted in 2010 and 2011.

If they don't have secondary depth after all that then maybe it's time to move on.

I hear Merriweather is having a toast for every pick we make other than DB.

We've drafted Gomes and Thompson so far in a 3 year span.

They were late round picks and haven't shown anything to suggest they're long term pieces. 2 late round secondary picks in a 3 year draft span is absolutely unheard of.

Cornerback is always such a safe pick because it's really an easy job where unless you're playing the Lions you're really only involved in 4 or 5 plays a game. Plus we've spent most of the last few years drafting safeties and corners. Time to get guys that play up front, guys that get after the passer and block the guys that go after the passers.
I disagree. Cornerback is actually one of the physically most difficult jobs to have in the NFL. You are the smallest on the field. You are expected to run BACKWARDS with world class sprinters (WRs) who are running forward and you have to stay with them wherever they go. You can't touch him after 5 yards. If the WR is on a fly pattern and you do touch the WR (who is taller than you) then that is a 60 yard penalty at the spot of the foul.

If you cover him all day then the qb won't look your way and no one will remember you -until the one time you screw up and get beat.

if you are in man coverage and it is a run play you have to hear the "RUN!" call and leave your man, turn around, shed a block of a lineman that is twice your size and make an open field tackle on a RB who is also bigger than you. Again, if you are able to do all of that people won't notice you until you screw up.

True but all of those secondary picks from the Cerrato years should have developed by now. They haven't. On top of that it's easier to find late round linemen that can start and considering that a lot of our problems last year stemmed more from depth along the O-Line rather then depth in the secondary I think it's smart to not worry so much about the secondary.

Also going back to the Giants, I know that in 2008 they had a very weak secondary. It's possible it was also weak in 2011.

There must be some red flag to Polk that front offices know about but we don't.
