It's not my money but I hope he's worth as much as Snyder thinks he is.

How do you think DS is paying for their salary? Raised seat costs, raised beer cost, raised food costs, etc. etc.

But I don't have a problem with the amount..... 50mill

In actuality they break it down a little and tell us it's some 8 mill over 5 yrs. Obviously 8x5= 40 so I would presume there is either one big signing bonus or he gets a bonus each year say 2 mill?

this also enables him to hire his coordinators for 5mill or slightly more a piece.

Like I said, it's not my money. Did anyone think Snyder wouldn't pay a ton to get him here? You get what the market will bear, and if we don't start playing some decent football Snyder probably won't continue to get what he's charging now.

Watch Shanny make Brennan the starter because he's accurate and has Cutler's mentallity.

Funny maybe I'm the only one who thinks Colt might develope into the perfect QB so long as they stop trying to change his throwing motion. Just remember what happened to Favre. The Falcons thought he sucked also and didn't like his throwing motion. They traded him away and it's all history. and yes he is the interception king.

SS has said before that SOME around the league think CB has some value. Maybe Shanahan was one of them?

This guy came into the NFL with the most impressive passing statistics I've ever seen in a college QB. People who wanted to discredit him said "well he played in a run & gun offense" like it's never been played in the NFL before. He has a side arm delivery "they say" and he'll have to change that to play in the NFL. Personally I don't care if he throws with no arms as long as he get's it there. If Shanny is the next coach and Campbell is not brought back, maybe he'll get an opportunity.

Madden had good things to say about him after watching him in pre-season.

I just wish they could bring back Chase as well. I really liked him and his poise in the pocket and quick release.

Yup. I like Chase, too. Maybe N.O. will let him go.

It's amazing what Snyder has done to the league. I mean not even 10 years ago Spurrier was given a 5 year $25 million contract and now that contract has doubled for Shannahan in terms of money. I mean I kind of understand given how much money guys like Holmgen and Parcells are getting but pretty soon the Haynesworth contract will be easily matched. Who knows, in our lifetime we could see a kicker getting the Haynesworth contract, but that could be blamed on inflation.
