By drafting Robinson will automatically make the offense more potent than ever, but I don't think we should draft him until 5th round or after. If he actually falls down that far then I would be happy with this pick.

Edit: I forgot to add to my point about the offense being potent with Robinson - if he is able to develop his ability to play as WR then we will have lot of mismatch ups with safeties by using motion from RB position to WR

Phillip Thomas is a good prospect....he won't be taken as high as Elam or Vacarro, but he might be what the Redskins need...he could fit in with our defense...lately I've been hearing about Jonathan Cyprien....but he may get drafted before the Redskins pick...

I saw a mock from nfldraftscout head man Matt miller picking cyprien going to the broncos I believe in the first round. He also had us passing on Elam, predicting he'd go in the third round. BS

Not likely we take a WR in the third but I like this guy.

He torched Dee Milliner of Alabama. I've wanted him since I saw him last year with Tannehill. I know this gets thrown around a lot, but if there ever was a 'next wes welker' he's the guy.

If we don't get him, theres Connor Vernon of Duke who has some of the best hands in the draft and is a great smart route runner (think of him as a young Stokely), theres also Marquess Wilson of WSU who left the team because Mike Leach and him were getting into fights (but players in the past have talked about Leach as being an awful coach in terms of going overboard on players) but he was graded to be a first round pick at WR and has some great hands and is a great route runner. Even when defenses knew to stop him, he still was unstoppable.

My point exactly. As well as establishing himself as a threat to run out of the backfield, thus the defense would have to be ready for a run or pass in his direction causing confusion.

There are teams out there that will draft him in round one, but it will be a mistake.

He may be a football player but I think he will fail as an NFL elite player or even as a good one.
From what I saw against Bama his line was getting pushed back into him. But he missed some tackles. He had a bad game but one game should not erase a long body of work. And I would pay no attention to the combine cause no one is in pads. I think Te'o is a good NFL prospect. Is he Patrick Willis? Probably not.

I can not even imagine the heckling he's going to get in training camp. Where ever he goes I hope that team is featured in Hard Knocks. Now that would really be must watch TV.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects

If Robert Alford is there when we pick in the second we need to run to the board to select him. Check out his combine numbers compared to Revis's pro day in 2007:

Revis H: 5 ft 11⅜ in Wt: 204 lb 40: 4.38 s Vert: 38 in Broad Jump: 10 ft 5 in
Alford H: 5 ft 10 in Wt: 188 lb 40: 4.39 s Vert: 40 in Broad Jump: 11 ft

Also Alford's older brother was an NFL player. Legit talent from a small school. David Amerson also is a great talent that needs to considered. His Junior year he killed it and that shouldn't be over looked.

I read that Alford, despite his great combine numbers, has scouts scared by the fact that he reportedly has crohns disease and that he will be 25+ when the season starts.

Those are legitimate concerns. But if he drops into the middle rounds, he could be a steal.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects

I don't get the fascination with Dennard Robinson because he doesn't have a position. He would need to develop skills that other people who have played RB already have.

I agree that we could use some explosive athletes on offense, but I think that Kenjon Barner, Jonathan Franklin, Joseph Randle, and Mike Gillislee would all be better fits as a change of pace back.

I don't get it either. To me he's a 6th or 7th rounder.
