I don't see how that is the case. Belichick is not flipping the bird at anyone, just proving that New England happens to be a team with a strong locker room leadership. That's how Randy Moss worked out there and that's how Mallett could work there as well.

That's exactly what I was referring to. We all hate some Bill Belicheat, but if he got another Hall of Famer in waiting behind Brady with that pick, it would definitely be giving people the finger.
