Rumor is a decision will be made by Manning on Monday. We'll see.
Could "take it or leave it" mean match any other offer?!

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Well, we can close this thread. Manning's camp says he's not coming to the Redskins.

Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)

Lot of people seem to be saying Vincent Jackson will be one of the first FAs we bring in. I'm not sure.

Wouldn't surprise me if a trade is made on Monday, especially if Manning does make his decision on Monday. If we're able to hold firm and not move our #2 to get RG3 that would be outstanding.

Still hearing that Manning has not ruled the Redskins out, but Dolphins are pretty much in the driver's seat.

Are you exclusively referring of a trade between the Redskins and the Rams or just the Rams trading the pick period?

Also, youve made it clear that we have a take it or leave it offer for manning. We also appear to have a take it or leave it offer for the Rams. You've also indicated we're pretty likely to get one or the other.

Would it be safe to assume that, if Manning decides on another team, we'd be more willing flexible with the Rams on the picks? It would seem our leverage with the Rams ends if/when Manning picks another team, and we'd be desperate to get the pick... the alternative would be someone like orton, which would probably ensure the shanahans are fired after the season.

I'm thinking Miami will most certainly have him by Monday.

Who do you think we would trade for on Monday? Or at least what position?

Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)

Just meant a Rams trade in general (though most would assume it's with the Redskins).

I don't think (my opinion) losing Manning would compel the Redskins to up their offer for RG3. They know the Rams desperately want out of there. If they won't budge, we'll just to talk to Minnesota or take Tannehill at 6.

Not from what I hear. Our offer has no guarantees, Miami's apparently does.

No guarantees sounds like a deal breaker.

Yeah, no guarantees is not trying too hard.

As I've heard no one is coming close to what the Dolphins are reportedly offering.
