How do you know any of this? What has been demonstrated - sans all this pejorative speculation, innuendo and ASSumption in the media that's stemming from Robert being very closed-mouth about all of this (so they have to make up a lot of bologna) - from which you could reasonably draw this conclusion?

Please be specific and show your work.

Id trade Griffin for a top 10 pick if i could get it and feel like i got a steal. I know we invested alot in him, but right now he does not have the skillset, desire, or attitude to show he's worth that investment. On the flipside, Cousins, while having less athletic ability, appears light years ahead of Griffin in mechanics, decision making, coachability, and leadership. Sometimes its best to cut your losses and move on.
Wow. Trade RG3. Ok. I'm not advocating either way, just shocked it finally came up.

What is the last point at which the team loses the chance to trade either one? I'm asking cause I'd definitely hold out till atleast that point or close to it.

Again the other thought is will the WHOLE coaching staff be back or will there be some changes made? Will MS stick with the Spread Option scheme or is he done with it and wants to run his scheme he had in Denver? What will DS want to do scheme wise?< I know the HC should get to decide but if DS is set on the Spread Option then I could see MS fired if MS does not want to use that anymore. If DS is wanting MS to use the scheme he thought he was bringing in from Denver then the Spread Option is out.

What I see it boiling down to is what's more important to DS?

1- RG3 = Spread/Read Option (could mean Briles brought in)
2- MS WCO = Cousins (unless RG3 makes a huge learning curve)
3- Spread/Read Option = Briles = RG3.

These are just my thoughts. But MS is fighting for his job now. If he's not fired. If it was me... I'd ditch the college stuff and go with what made me a good coach in the past, use Cousins for these last 3 games as he did, point out to the owner and Allen at the end all the differences between the two QB's and lobby for keeping me my final year with whichever is the best QB next Sept.

and because of that.... RG3 might find himself on the trading block if he didn't make a huge leap this off season. Also as an owner I'd have to look at RG3's dad and if he is stiring the pot. If he is then RG3 might be gone just based off that.

Cool Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday

The "trade RGIII" topic came up on the Galdi, Czaban, Cooley radio show yesterday (ESPN 980). First legitimate public forum where I heard the possibility discussed. They pointed out that many of the sacks taken by RGIII were on him because he runs around trying to improvise rather than trying to buy time in the pocket. In that case (their words, not mine), the OL has no clue as to how or where to block rushers. As you might imagine, Cooley had the most insight on this point. Anyway, it really makes sense to me that part of what Shanahan is doing involves proving to Snyder that much of what has happened to Redskins this season is on Griffin rather than the OL. Next few weeks will be interesting! #BeatDallas #HTTR

Basically give up RG3 and keep Le Fleur and Little Shanny? These offensive inexperienced guys are amateur hour when it comes to NFL offenses. If a second year player could come in and disrupt your organization then that in it's self is a big enough reason you should be fired. It means you do not have the aptitude for the job.

The second year player is a diva franchise quarterback. If he chooses to be disruptive, its not like you can just cut him like you could any old scrub. I'm sorry, but if even half the reports i've read about RGIII's diva attitude are true, i want nothing to do with him. His "potential" isn't worth the distraction when you've got a very talented NFL QB in Cousins on the roster.

NEWSFLASH: Cousins is not that good. He looked like Matt Cassell. Only mediocre. He reminds me of Rex. Throws too many picks against ATL one of the worse defenses.

You don't like RG3 that's all. Shanahan has done nothing without Robert on the field. he has been here 4 years two without Robert. Remember Beck? that is Cousins. What's the difference. Shanny is dreaming. No one wants Cousins. no needing in arguing with you, you are on some extraness.

Didn't you know? All you need is 2 full games to realize Cousins is LEGIT.

I saw him wearing a 2 Legit 2 Quit shirt also. I think he might even change his number to 2, and his last name to Legit ala OchoCinco. Guy is the truth.

UMMMMMM, THIS.

DUH.

Anyone even remotely entertaining the idea of trading RG3 is just idiotic and stupid. Sorry, I said it.

Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday

For clarification, all my thoughts are based on the preceding quotes from the bleacherreport link which painted rg3 as a spoiled brat/cry baby who won't listen to his coaches. Hence, the first word in my post was "if." If rg is that much of a diva, I don't want him on my team. If those reports aren't true, and he's a high character guy who tries to build good relationships with his coaches and team mates and readily accepts all coaching given him, then I'm happy he's here.

All this drama has got some of you hook line and sinker.

All this reminds me of a bad breakup and both sides are trying to make the other look as bad as possible. When in reality it's more smoke than substance.

Fix the gaskets then, change the oil, tune it up and lets roll....

maybe keep the other kind of smoke for the rest of the guys

I'm just tired of hearing all the "We gotta trade Cousins" banter. I think we need to keep both for now.
