Oh they are going to try to force that change too. Heck, they still are attacking the Florida Seminoles despite the fact that the Seminole tribe wants the University to keep that name (Like with the Redskins they know what is good for Native Americans even if Native Americans don't).

Not that either of them were my top choices, but I think as long as the name is Commanders or Admirals, it won't get too crazy (at least here). Those 2 options have just been heard for so long, there is some acceptance of them, even if not liked at all.

If the "leak" wasn't an actual leak, and it ends up being a random name, it's gonna be some good reading here and everywhere else.

My gawd is it disappointing. Like you said why have us wait and why deceive us saying they value our input so much. If they were going to pick such a name, go ahead and do it right away, and most of us would have been like "meh, it's lame but ok let's move on", but to talk up all that fan engaging renaming process for 2 years and come up with that...
