Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

This is one reason we have to be careful not to write off our players too quickly. Coaching matters.

A little surprised Belichick isn't calling it a career yet. He must really wanna coach still. I know he wants to prove he can create a winner without Brady but guy has been in the league forever and in his 70s now. He may pull a Joe Pa and just coach as long as he can stand.

He wants to pass Shula. He's an egotistical fuck. But that's basically a requirement to be a successful HC. He won't retire until he has the record or no one will hire him.

He better start winning more than 4 games a year then. Atlanta seriously? With Ridder and Heinicke? This would be like going to the athletic version of Jones/Zappe. If we don't even want him, then you know dude is WAY past his prime.

He's what 72, his options are likely limited. Don't think there's a long line of teams looking to hire someone that age.

he'll die before he retires. started early with his dad at Navy, and has been paid as a coach since 1975.

I'm a little worried the Cowboys might dump McCarthy and make a run for Belichick. BB is probably looking for a team with a good roster and qb that is just underachieving. He doesn't need to do a full rebuild.

Other than Parcells hiring BB really wouldn't be Jerry's style. He likes a HC that won't overshadow him. And I can't see BB wanting an owner like Jerry hanging over his shoulder.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

Quinn makes me think of a younger RR, though maybe with more passion. What's he done at Dallas that makes him stand out? 2 good seasons in Atlanta but less than .500 there overall.

Personally I vote a young offensive coach that can bring in a great DC to complement him. Plus have and use an OC, not call plays himself.
