The OL and ST have not helped Robert who I'm sure is pretty nervous. They will get their shit together after half time.

Not giving up on the season or the team obviously but for tonight? Yes I'd be shocked if we won

At this point I'd be shocked if the offence scored.

This game has been absolutely embarrassing. I feel as dejected as I did during the Monday night game in 2010...

Wow. Talking about firing shanahan and drafting another qb?

I'm not sure if you all are serious.

It's one bad rusty half of football. This bad play is not going to continue

C'mon now it is said half jokingly. Nobody is giving up on the Skins, but if they don't come out better mentally in the second half maybe our off the wall comments might have merit. We looked very good in preseason, and every other team that I had seen play yesterday played to win and virtually every game was competitive. Thus far, this is the only really bad showing of all the games played. There were some real low scoring games, but they were very competitive for the most part. No real excuse in being rusty when the other teams came out full throttle.

I agree, they aren't even really use the Cousins plays, only seen on bootleg I think. Most all throws are in the pocket.

Re: Washington Redskins vs Philadelphia Eagles Gameday Thread

Lets start with the basics, we can't run the ball. The offense is based on the run and playaction off that.

Lets go even more basic; you can't fumble on your first offensive play and you can't throw the ball into triple coverage for a pick the next.

We just have to look at this as an extended preseason. Obviously griff isnt ready and no defense can stay on the field that long in a half without breaking. If Griff is the warrior i think he is and this team has the heart i think it does than we will come out and atleast make this closer in the second half so i can go to sleep feeling good about next weeks chances.

Re: Washington Redskins vs Philadelphia Eagles Gameday Thread

Overall, the defense hasn't been that bad. Bowen allowed the Vick TD run when he didn't realize he was being optioned, which means our DL coach didn't prepare him to get optioned (the OLBs are clearly prepared to be optioned). The pass rush has been inconsistent, but not bad. Baccari Rambo looks like a rookie. Hall is 10% of the way to his penalty quota for the year. Made the biggest play of the game.

Offense isn't attacking or constraining anything. They can get it together, whenever.
