Maybe it was right earlier neither side wanted to be the butt of April Fools jokes. At 1130pm yesterday, it was a done deal, but then 12:01 came, and now we gotta wait till April 2nd.

Man - SS and Matty shoulda started a Warpath fight over DJax signing as a tie-in April fools joke.

If we had to give the deal that DJ reportedly wants, $9 million to $10 million a year. (LINK), then f our front office. Same old Skins.

Totally agree...sometimes you have to pay for a guy and take a chance. If they sign him I see it as our 1st round pick this year, it's only a game and Synders money so who cares. They will never break all the fan criticism until we win a SB again, people complain that we didn't go after any big names in FA and now people complain. Only thing to cure it is to win.

I want djax here, but saying it's our 1st round pick is a little misleading. The cap hit from a first round pick gives you a top player with 4 years of cap bliss. There's no guarantee of 2 years cap bliss with djax.

Not contact wise, but it would all but take WR off the board in the 2nd round and fill a so called need. I don't look at money when it comes to players.

It would definitely open up options with our picks.

» Over the Cap- Top NFL Contracts: Wide Receiver
There are rumors that DJax's deal is going to be more than Deckers, as the standard for FA this year.. So here are the top 16-17 WR contracts. Only Tampa Bay, Lions currently have two WR on this list.

It's interesting to note that of the top 4 teams last year in the playoffs: Percy Harvin had a large contract for the Seahawks, but really only played a small portion of the year. For the Broncos, the highest paid WR is Wes Welker at 20th. The 49ers and Patriot don't have a WR in the the top 20 priced contracs. Point is the best teams don't seem to invest/need high priced WRs..
