I can fully and completely explain QBR to anybody interested, it definitely should be used instead of passer rating.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Kirk still hasn't had a big TD game yet. It's coming, once we start scoring in the RZ again. I wouldn't be shocked to see a 4 or 5 td day in the next few weeks

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Cousins has played fine after the first 2 games of the season.
These last 8 will determine a lot....if we come out with a winning record, Cousins contract will be massive. Right now, 20 mil per is probably where the team is at....

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Kirk is middle of the pack as far as ESPN's QBR goes, 14th currently.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Mike Jones from the Washington Post states that there are some within the redskins organization who still do not believe Cousins is the answer at QB, and are prepared to use "other options" regarding the QB next year:
Report: Some with Redskins not sold yet on Kirk Cousins as their long-term QB | CSN Mid-Atlantic

As far as who the source might be, my best guess is that it is a player, and not an actual team official. Let's try and remember who has been the most anti-Kirk player wise? DeSean Jackson is kind of the only one who springs to my mind. He knows he wont be here next year, so it could be him leaking to the media...just speculation...

If this report came from someone at ESPN, like Tony C or Wilbon, maybe I could see them having access to Dan. Maybe Bruce or Scot M, but i don't see them doing it. It is the bye week, it could be a made up story to get clicks on the url. |

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
I respect Casserly's opinion, he's a sharp guy. But after watching the two last week, KC was clearly the better QB. Plus Dalton has started a lot more games. I just wasn't all that impressed with him, he should have been picked off three times and had a terrible fumble at the end of the game. To me he's slightly below average.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
If they let Kirk walk, its because they have another QB that they want in FA and I doubt that happens. Who will be available?? Kirk will be the guy

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Kirk has to be the guy. With a weak draft class available and the even-more-weak free agent class that turns out year after year we really have no choice. Give him 20 mil a year and call it a day. 20 mil seems high but relative to the percentage of the salary cap it will be manageable for us.
