Is Kyle's contract up? Given the fact that the Texans are keeping Kubiak, isnt it possible they'll be keeping Kyle too?

He can be hired away if given a promotion, a fancy title like assistant head coach/offensive coordinator.

Theismann just said that there will NOT be a coaching announcement today. He said he could confidently announce that.

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal

Take what Theismann says with a grain of salt. Last night Jim Zorn himself was telling people he had "no idea" of an imminent firing. Although that was more to save face and not make the post-game talk about him, than anything else. classy move.

Zorn was just saying what he had to say. Unless he's the dumbest guy in the world he knew this was coming.

Do you figure at this point Zorn would have wished he had resigned when Synderato took the playcalling from him???

He probably would have forfeited some salary that way since he was voluntarily ending the relationship. By staying on, I believe it meant he gets paid his contracted rate.

More precisely, I think he wished he could resign and still get his paychecks for next year. I think he understood the business aspect and would not regret staying on so that he gets his full contract. I wouldn't. And if he really is smart he would have used that time to prepare and learn and look at what he really needs to do to be better in his next job, if he takes one.

2.5 million dollars for 3 months of "humiliation" as an NFL head coach? Slap my ass and call me Mary, show me the money.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman
