Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

15 million a year is crazy for, esp for a team that isn't contending for a title. We are better for sure. I hope if it happens the contract is better then the approx numbers.

How will we ever contend for a title without a #1 corner? The answer is we probably won't. We are highly unlikely to get there without at least a few Pro Bowl quality players and a whole lot of good players on each side of the ball, and one of those Pro Bowl caliber players needs to be a corner, IMHO.

I trust Scott M. more than any Redskins GM since Bobby Beathard. I'm not going to fret about anything he does until he lets me down more than once. If Scot says Norman is a guy we need and that he thinks Norman is worth the money, then I would feel very good about signing him.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

The Redskins fans react to the Josh Norman Saga as told by the Redskinettes:

Carolina drops the franchise tag, Skins fans are just a bit curious

Then some aren't to excited:

Some are really excited

Then they hear the Skins are front runners and get their hopes up:

And when he comes to visit he is welcomed with open arms:

So now the only question is:
Will there be the Oh Yeah from a signing:

or will we show him the door:

Hope everyone is caught up now:

If that's the only competition we win. They would have to renegotiate a contract for Brees first

Meh. Personally I rather past and build through the draft. This guy is not Darrell Green.

Dont know how to feel about spending the money on em... dont like him honestly, he van play, but i think hes froggin overrated and a prima donna. Not a fan of the signing until he proves worth it. Smh oh well

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

A little nervous about the signing due to total cost, but am glad to have a CB of his caliber. I also think it will spell the end of Cullivers time here. I think it opens up the draft to keep building up the trenches, especially with this being such a deep draft for DL.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

Just a wild guess;

$25 million dollar signing bonus ... 5 years prorated @ $5 million per year

2016 $ 6 million salary.... cap hit $11 million
2017 $8 million salary..... cap hit $13 million
2018 $ 11 million salary....cap hit $16 million
2019 $12 million salary.... cap hit $17 million
2020 $13 million salary ....cap hit $18 million

it adds up to 5 years $75 million

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

Honestly, I cannot believe how much this team has transformed under GMSM. From all aspects; strategy, toughness, attitude, off-field negotiations, the list goes on.

I don't know how much we're paying Scot McCloughon but he's worth every bit of it. The Redskins are no longer a joke in this league l.

HAIL!

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

We need sustained success before anyone can claim this, I think - the unfortunate side effect of 2 decades of mediocrity and splashy, dumb moves.
