Our name sort of stood out due to its derogatory nature. It would be like if there were teams called the samurais, the ninjas, etc and we would be the chinks. Again, not taking a side one way or another but it’s fairly obvious to me why we were sort of singled out. Cleveland made their decision without real pressure. There was pressure about chief wahoo because it was pretty over the top. They probably did not have to change the name though.

Thing with Snyder is he took a great franchise and turned it into a joke on every level. On the field and off.
He is literally responsible for the death of a great franchise. There are plenty of bad owners, but i cant think if another one who ruined a franchise in such a way.

This exactly. Snyder murdered the Redskins. And the name Commanders is awful and in in no way links the history of the franchise. We are basically an expansion team now.

We obviously agree Snyder is an ass. Lol. Don’t know a single fan who doesn’t. I wouldn’t go so far as to call us an expansion team. There was no way to link the new name to the old name. This is still our team. It was our team before douchebag bought them. Commanders wouldn’t have been my choice, but it is a link to DC. Im excited to see the new uniforms too. We are still the B and G. I pray to God Snyder one day gets gone while I am still alive, but I have been rooting for this team since 1976 and im not gonna let that tiny little fuck take that away from me. HTTC!
