Good Ridance. Some true Redskin! As much as he talked team, He always seemed to make statements at just the wrong time to disrupt things. All he really cared about was the money. Don't wine about him being gone. We'll be better without him. Let him get burned on the Gaints.

I don't like it , as I've said before he can't and won't stay healthy .Even when he is he's not that good,and awful lot of very good defensive coachs have tried to work with him and failed .We should have moved up to get Hawk or Carpenter and bring in Harry Carson to coach them!

i think picking up lavar was a good move by the giants. lavar is still a really good LB , in my opinion.

Some people have not matured to the point where they can respectfully disagree with an individual's opinion and not want to personally attack that individual. I think we all have a right to speak truthfully about Lavar's tenure here whether it's in flourishing terms or not. I encourage all who have an opinion about Lavar to tell it the way you see it. Because I have certainly lost all respect for him and his trust in a greedy, incompetent agent who almost wathced his client be overlooked in free agency due to the unrealistic money he thought Lavar was worth. Lavar didn't understand GW's plan when he played for us, so what makes some people think he will understand Al Saunders plays?

I'm not hating on Arrington. I wish him the best and would even like to see him be as good as the hype surrounding him says he should be...except when he plays us...then I hope he is old, slow and clueless.

IMO he was never as good as his Press clippings. He wa good but he was supposed to be great. He put forth great effort when he was on the field and I respect him for that. His outbursts and drama became tiresome, he didn't want to be here any longer and he didn't fit Joe Gibbs mold for some reason. Gibbs is a winner, always has been so if he says Arrington didn't fit here anymore that is good enough for me.

Lavar, thanks for the memories, the great hits and the entertaining interviews. Thanks for the hopes and dreams you inspired(but only seldom lived up to...honestly) that kept us going through the leaner years. Times are better now. We've got something bigger than Arrington and it's called WINNING...I wish him luck. I wont look back...no need to.

Since Art Monk played w/ the Jets a season or two before retiring, does that mean he wasn't a true Redskin. How about Rypien, Dexter Manley. Most of these guys ended their careers with other teams. Does that make them less loyal to the skins and their fans. If you lost your job with Wachovia over management issues, or they felt you could do your job anymore, Bank of America came calling with a good salary are you going to turn down a job because you are loyal to Wachovia, dont think so. This is just on a different level than any of us have ever dealt with. There is no loyalty in the NFL anymore. Its about winning, and cash. that is it.

he's only a threat on 1st and 2nd down.. why not pick up Ahmad Brooks in the supplamental draft and we'd forget all about #56

If he wasn't good enough for Gibbs, he's not good enough for me. He can talk all he wants about playing against the Skins twice etc, etc, but he'll also feel a deep pang of sadness watching us raise the Lombardi trophy while he sits at home with ice packs on his knees.

Good Idea, do we have a first round Supp Pick even though we traded away our first rounder because they use the same order as the draft in April.
Although I doubt if many teams will take the risk of drafting in the first round and forfeit their first rounder in 07'. But this guy has first round talent.

I always hoped for LA to actually be as good as the hype. IMO he had the ability to be one of the very best but only played at that level once in awhile and it never lasted long enough. He talked "team" but many of his outbursts and difficulties in recent years to me said "me". He kind of became irrelevent to me last season. We just didn't need him and his mouth anymore.

I cannot think of many guys who have had difficulties on a Gibbs coached teams...Gibbs likes high character guys and will take care of them...his track record says his approach works. Arrington didn't fit into that mold. I think that had everything to do with him no longer being a Skin and thats good enough for me.

Just my opinion though.
