Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

I've been good, not eating much ice cream this summer. But yesterday I caved and bought some chocolate ice cream. And some root beer. Had me a nice big root beer float yesterday afternoon. Really hit the spot.

I'm not a huge fan of pecans though

Not a fan of nuts? Well, you know Lloyd is... he's a real nut lover.

Well that doesn't help with hijacking the thread if you bring Lloyd back up

Chocolate ice cream is the best. Root beer with it makes for an especially good time. Yesterday when i was at the mall me and my friends went into a store that sells all kinds of chocolates, and i tried a sample of this piece of chocolate that had coconut in the middle, it was delicious.

Think about it like this: How many of us would be logging on to a Packers forum to badmouth 50/50 if he made the roster and had caught a nice one-handed grab in traffic for a decent gain?

Probably about zero, because we're more interested in talking positives about our team than trying to win an argument fueled by insane hatred for a player whom we didn't care for on what was, is, and has been for quite some time, quite frankly, a piss-poor football team.

Re: B Lloyd - I'm starting to like this guy

Come on guys lets keep this respectful and respectable.

Rexi, I dont agree with your assessment of his talent. Lloyd is a talented player. Thats why the niners drafted him.

Redskins Homers, No one here should deny that Lloyd has some character issues. he could become a cancer.

But, i think a change in scenery and a fresh start will help lloyd.

I think alot of his character flaws were compounded by an organization in termoil.

One thing to consider is how would any top notch WR act if they played in SF last year?
Could you imagine chad johnson playing with cody pickett?
What about TO or Steve smith?

I think the fresh start, potential to make lots of money and not having to be the #1 WR will help Lloyd be a better teammate and player.

all we can do is wait and see

Did Andre Johnson bad mouth the Texans last year? The niner regime that drafted him was a very poor judge of talent, resulting in us winning 6 games in 2 years. Chad Johnson has played on some poor Bengal teams so I doubt he would have been a problem, same with Smith. TO would have ripped us in the media, although he did that with a team coming off of a SB loss. Lloyd will have had to change his attitude completely and work very hard to become a respectable WR. I see no evidence this has happened i just see the same old one-trick pony we had last year.

it's hard to hijack a thread where everyone keeps bringing up the original subject.

I hear ya Mooby. Poor GTripp wants to post in this thread but he's so sad that people won't let you hijack this thread that he's just sitting on his couch with a blanket draped over him and digging his spoon into a pint of cookie dough ice cream.

Ice cream baby! What!

Re: B Lloyd - I'm starting to like this guy

Sorry guys, but I am going to have to invoke my thread marshall powers to thwart the hijacking.

Rexi,

I have no particular beef with you, the 49ers, or your opinions. I reserve judgment on Lloyd. I think, however, your use of that one video clip of Lloyd is a poor and misleading one. To me, it appears that Lloyd is ducking because the ball was so poorly thrown that he thought it was intended for a different receiver.

Also, Lloyd was in fact your #1 wideout last season. So, if he was a total piece of trash, locker room cancer, worthless wideout, what does that say about the 49ers organization and wide receiving corps? To me it says that the 49ers coaching staff was really dumb for putting garbage in the #1 wideout spot, or you are being a little biased in your opinion.

By the way, Lloyd didn't slow down to make a highlight catch as you so claimed. The ball was slightly overthrown and he had to jump/dive to catch it.

I'll have to invoke my thread generalisimo powers and reinstate the hijacking

Seriously though, all good points SGG. But it's been in one ear and out the other with him. So we're just going in circles.

He's happy Lloyd is not a Niner. We're happy he's not a Niner either. So we're all happy.
