If the train continues on the track it is on, I say no. But NFL seasons are full of surprises and I have consumed too much of the burgundy Kool-Aid to give up quite yet.

I seem to be one of the few that HAS faith. I'm just tired of the negative. It gets us NO WHERE, and in my opinon you are not a good fan if you never look at the positive and have a little hope for a better future after just week 2!

I will comment on the playoffs when they prove they can win a single game.

To say anything other than yes would mean I am not a true believer. I'm not much on predictions because I need proof.

I'm with you. I just haven't seen it on the feild to prove to me what we can do. I mean in my head I have it all worked out, we beat Houston, we pull off a miracle upset against Jacksonville, then ball gets rolling. But until I see that were good on the feild, whats in my head stays in my head, theres nothing to back it up.

I will say though, I'm a big believer in fate, and I'm starting to feel really good about this.

Re: Playoffs: Yes or No?

I think we need to be spending time in the "thank you universe" thread for Shawn Springs to come back...

Just hoping he's 100% Does anyone know the severity of the surgery and if he's expected to fully recover.?

Re: Playoffs: Yes or No?

Hey Gang,

I guess I should first say great site. I'm a skins fan out in Riggo country (that's Kansas for the young'ns) and have been (out of pocket) for a few years before that so I'm probably not as knowledgeable as some. Here is my 2c anyway's. I will say with some trepidation that this start scares me, only because Mark's first year with this system was horrid. Thus, I can only surmise that he is not a fast learner, and will struggle again with a new system. On the other hand it is all about defense, and if this D can mesh than I think they have the oppurtunity to be special. The D and the O have the weapons to compete. So I guess in typical lengthy bureaucratic legalisitc DC fashion I have surmised that I agree and disagee with the previous posts. This week tells all for me. If we can't put the throttle down and smoke a sub-par team we are in for a long season skins fans. Last week was bad enough for me; the skins to lose to Dallas and ND to lose to Michigan, It was like Black Monday for me.

I'll be drinking and cheering on Sunday. Go SKINS.

Welcome to the site Irishskins Fan... I'm glad I stumbled upon it less than a year ago...

I don't feel very optimistic about the Redskins future this season, but one doesn't have to go far to realize the ability of Joe Gibbs to turn things around. In 2005 our start was similar, with the exeption being Dallas learned their lesson and not letting us go deep (although I thought we were going to pull one off again in... but it never happened). As far as playoffs go, I'm in no mood to project any playoff aspirations as of yet, and I don't think anyone who does is sane. We have no offense, and our defense is swiss cheese. Theres no doubt we will in improve IMO, but I'll talk about playoffs after we get about .500

Re: Playoffs: Yes or No?

Well, we did it last year but it seems like this is a rebuilding year so far, they can't seem to get the new offense down; plus the defense has seemingly taken a step back from the likes of last seasons' successful defense. I would say fat chance. I don't doubt that they'll beat the Texans but that doesn't prove shiznizzle; they need to get a few wins against some good teams, and I'm not talking about the Cowgirls. Only then should we again bring up the playoffs...
