Campbell is not gonna get any younger...Rivers is 24, and will turn 25 in December.

Oh, Rivers was born in '81, so that makes him around 25 or 26.

edit: Will have a birthday in December, so he will turn 25. One year younger than Campbell... not really much to argue about.

you certainly thought it was worth arguing about before. even if they were the same age, do you think no.3 w/o one NFL snap and season starter are comparable?

You started the argument about the age. I'm just providing you the answers in comparison that Rivers had to sit the bench for two seasons before he had became a starter, and in comparison there was not that big of an age difference between the two.

Delhomme and Trent Green didn't become full time starters until age 27/28

The league has changed.

Trent went to the Rams in what, 98 or 99? Injured that year went to KC the next year (I think.) It hasn't been that long ago.

You don't need to throw out and attitude with me. Trent Green didn't start with KC until 2001...that has only been 5 years ago.

Re: How will you feel if its Collins instead of Campbell?

Who cares how old a QB is when they are selected to be the starting QB? All that matters is are they selected when they are ready? For every QB that starts out playing great as a rookie there are 5 that can't cut so they become journeymen QB's for the rest of their career. The question is simple: Is Campbell ready to implement Saunders offense? If yes, then play him. If not, keep him in classroom and on the sideline to continue learning.

The funny thing is Collins really should have been the starter at the beginning since Campbell was not ready. Does anyone think that Brunell knew the offense better than Collins? Campbell could have been watching a veteran of the offensive system execute with more efficiency than a veteran who is also learning the system. Even if Collins is a terrible QB, which I doubt since he's been in the league for so long, he at least would be more familiar with his reads thus showing Campbell how the system is designed to work.

Or how about Tony Romo? He'll be 27 in April.

looking good too. yeah i understand talented QBs can sit, but did they have Collins and Brunell caliber QBs keeping them on the bench? even during total garbage time? it's borderline irrational.

You're missing my point. They are starting younger now.

Eli Manning 23.

Chris Simms 25.

V Young 23.
