Re: Who's the BEST Skin of ALL TIME???????????
why, it's patrick ramsey, of course.
i mean seriously, what ARE you guys smoking? do you guys even watch the team? 4 super bowl titles and ramsey STILL can't get any love. what's wrong with you people? monk's underrated, DG's good on the field, SB helped promote off the field... of course, for the best redskin ever, i'd have to go with gibbs of the 80 and 90s. that's a no brainer. |

Re: Who's the BEST Skin of ALL TIME???????????
With out a doubt, it has to be ole #28. 20 years with the Redskins and played great every year. He returned a punt against the Bears for a TD with a broken rib, chased down Tony Dorsett as a rookie, in what may be the most memorable play of monday night football. He had 7 probowls, 54 career interceptions and holds a number of Redskins records. In my mind Darrell Green is the greatest to ever suit up in the burgundy and gold, Sammy Baugh is a hell of a player, but you have to look at how dominant Darrell Green was, 5'8" and was still a shutdown corner, thats unheard of. Its pretty sad that Deion Sanders is considered the greatest corner ever, because in my opinion he wasnt half the player Green was.

Re: Who's the BEST Skin of ALL TIME???????????
Jack Kent Cooke....or Joe Gibbs....or Bob Beatherd
Probably the most effective player I can remember was Dave Butz...apologies to everyone else but this guy took two or three offensive line men on almost every play allowing Manley and Mann to go one on one. They got the praise and Pro Bowls...he did the dirty work making their success possible. The guy was a beast. Others who deserve mention are Kenny Houston who was the best safty to ever play the game at the time of his retirement, Charlie Taylor who was the top reciever in NFL History when he left the game and played during a run dominated era, Darrel Green obviously, Sonny Jergenson, John Riggins, Art Monk, Sammy Baugh and Chris Hanberger. Oh and one other guy...he doesn't really belong here but he was my favorite Skin as a kid because he never gave up and didn't have the most talent but still succeeded, he embodied what the "Over the Hill Gang" was all about...Billy Kilmer. |

Re: Who's the BEST Skin of ALL TIME???????????
my personal choice would come from Mann, Monte Coleman, Green, Baugh, Monk, Taylor, and the Hogs. My personal fav is Mann, Monk, or the Hogs but I can't really choose one that was better than the other because any players that have or will get the Skins wins and championships are all at the top of the list in my opinion.
